Amazing Old Gas Station Pump Light Tower Fixtures

This is a video featuring old gas pump tower light fixtures that not only added light to the pump but also lit up the gas station island area in general.

When looking at pictures of many gas stations back in the day, many of them didn't have a canopy that usually has lights built into them. I guess that's why many older gas pumps have these lights attached to them. I can't imagine trying to pump gas into a vehicle without a canopy during a heavy rain.

Wow.. the lights coming on all at once is spectacular.. now if im thinking correctly the light towers were used at gas stations that didn't have the awnings correct?
