    Our window vac failed. Karcher service engineers told us that the window vac cannot be used horizontally ie on its side, because water gets into the motor. He advised us to use a cloth for the bottom strip of the window! It's a design fault that Karcher have failed to correct and do not tell you about. Joseph B

      Did your vac break due to horizontal use?

      interesting cause on their video they vacuum a windshield horizontally :)) and also vacuum table surface :)))))

      Same happened to me on the professional series of this device. Water gets into the motor due to horizontal use…

    • @COddietsch
      @COddietsch 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      It might be a pain in the ass but if the container is empty and you do one horizontal stroke at a time because it's not much water, empty and them another. That would take care of the problem util they fix it or if they don't fix it, problem solved. Maybe

    Bought mine about 13 years ago when they first came out, still going strong. Would not be without it. I use my own solution to clean the windows then with the glass still wet use the vac then buff up with a microfibre or minky glass cloth. Good for cleaning shower screens too. Btw. Bathroom spray cleaners which say remove limescale work great on windows. Think you will find extra large microfibre cloths will make the job even easier. Another great video.

    Just used my new kartcher and like you said the bottle and solution don’t put enough moisture on the window and left loads of streaks. Thanks for advice it makes sense now I seen your demonstration, thanks👍

  • @majassesks
    @majassesks 2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

    Yes, windows have to be quite wet to not leave any streaks. I tried to clean the windows using their spray on a sunny summer day and it was impossible. So now I also use just a simple cloth to wash and wet them and then go over with the Karcher.

    • @KerryWhelpdale
      @KerryWhelpdale  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      They really do.. at first we thought the Karcher vacuum wasn’t very good but then realised it was because the windows weren’t wet enough and now we blinking well LOVE the Karcher :) xxx

      @cgmac2931 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I’m having the same problem with streaks, but it is a sunny warm fall day here so I’ll try again when it’s not so nice out. Also more liquid on the window.

    What makes a very good window cleaner is you put white vinegar a little dishwashing liquid and water in a spray bottle spray it onto the window and vacuum you will not believe how good it works.

    Hi Kerry thanks for reviewing the Karcher window vac. I did have the same one but it died a death and haven’t got round to replacing it yet. I did think when I first got it, what a great idea the spray bottle was, but then it started to leak everywhere, BUT having seen this video, and seen the awesome idea of the wash mitt (which funnily enough, I recently put in my husbands car wash kit) I shall be pinching that back and using it as you have suggested once I get my new Karcher! 😂
    Just another little tip, add a drop of vinegar to your washing up liquid/water solution 😊

  • @carolb9208
    @carolb9208 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Ah thanks so much i get lines now and again, need to just apply more water, someone told me to add a bit of fabric softener to fairy & hot water to stop the Karcher dragging but now im wondering if it just wasnt wet enough😃👍

  • @mortisha24
    @mortisha24 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Just used it for the 1st time,it was direct sunlight on a very dirty big glass surface (like yours) and it was a disaster,streaks everywhere.....made me think it can only maintain already pretty clean surfaces but was also suspecting that bottle sprayer was not doing the trick, ended up cleaning with my microfibre cloths (they do a great job but I get tired since it's time consuming)....will give it another go with applying more moisture, thanks!

    • @KerryWhelpdale
      @KerryWhelpdale  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes definitely apply more moisture.. once you do that and make sure it doesn’t dry at all before vacuuming you will see it is amazing.. as soon as the water starts to dry it’s game over!!! Honestly.. we love ours and use it on all windows, mirrors and shower glass too :) xxx

    Hey there random question. How do you keep your dark kitchen clean? Have you tried this product on it ?

  • @sabrigasmi4679
    @sabrigasmi4679 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

    The problem I'm encountering with the device is related to its reservoir. The silicone seal inside the reservoir ends up swelling. Additionally, when I empty the water, I can't put it back in place, forcing me to buy a whole new reservoir since the seal isn't sold separately. This is one of the major flaws of the device, and I'm surprised not to see this issue mentioned anywhere.

    Did I recieve a nock out product? Mine wv6 has this yellow plastic line on top that makes HORRIBLE squeking sound and it leaves a LOT of water on the window which is the dam point of window vac. So I tried to remove this yellow plastic, but aperantly u need it, but now I cant get it in cause the plastic is too soft to push it back in. Like I am really pissed and dont know what to do, just want to throw it away from a rage
