Twin Turbo Audi R8 Goes Drag Racing.. And Goes 9s!

- Evolving Motorsports set out to run 9s in their R8 twin turbo project, a failing intercooler pump kept them from doing it on the first outing but they didn't let that stop them. Stock everything.....with the added Precision turbos and tuning this car is moving with 140mph trap speeds. More adjustments and testing to come, they are not finished with this one just yet.

time starts when u go u can take ur time as long as its not exaggerating
shouldnt the v10 get 10,7sec in stock form? thats pretty slow for twin turbo. i would be expecting a constant mid 9sec for twin turbo

So it's now as fast as a stock 720
Stock 720s already has turbos, and this is less power, and 720s is much more expensive.
@@dlg78 with a tune 720 smokes it easy and with stock reliability and with the money he saved buying that he spent that money saved to make it as fast as a stock McLaren.
@@socleanmx6 I don't think you realise the price difference between a used non plus r8 and a 720s is, and how unreliable a 720s is compared to an r8.
And the fact you can take the r8 turbos to 1200hp without doing any mechanical work, you can't with the 720s, 850 is about the limit.
R8 twin turbos on stock internals running higher boost are doing 200mph in 15 seconds.

A 9 second 140mph street car is fast no matter how you slice it, but don't these trap 130-132mph stock and run 10.x stock?

This was the V10 which runs low 11s stock. The V10 PLUS runs high 10s stock.🤓

Seems kinda slow for a twin turbo R8. I'd suspect that i makes less than 1100 WHP.
Was a new build at the time, wasn't an all out racecar
Meanwhile RS3's are turning low 9's.....impressive but not when put into context with cheaper Audi's with just bolt ons and tunes.

You can get a mustang from 2011 or above and spend like 20k worth of mods and you can easily hit 9s no problem even 8s
@@Spazzowhirl11 If you make bank what makes you think you're gonna stick to turbo Busa's and built Honda's? They're no unicorn builds, you see them more often than you would a Twin Turbo R8. I respect fast builds, but people need to wake up and realize there are people who are high rollers with no limits

9's with slicks. Seats and exhaust removed. Around 10.4 on street trim.

@@Dillon000 why is money relevant to anything. The brakes and carbon on a r8 are worth nearly as much as a whole rs3. Comparing value on two completely different types of cars is irrelevant. Price doesn't solely relate to performance.
