  • I want to thank ‪@Beautarie‬ for making the tutorial on the Zulu hat available and helping me build on what she already taught.
    I created this Isicholo hat for a south African queen themed shoot and added Velcro to the back of it for easy wear and removal. It looks like the hat Queen Ramonda wore in black panther! I hope you enjoy watching it. To also see the tutorial I built mine on, you can check this; • DIY Isicholo (Traditio...

      I believe if the dreads are worn down yes. If you want to wear it up. You might have to make all the dimensions about 2 inches bigger/ longer

    hi, am wondering if non Africans, meaning other ethnicity or race can wear this hat too? or is it tied to a religious practice that is offensive for other race to wear?

    • @YeleStitches
      @YeleStitches  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I cannot speak for Africans everywhere but from my perspective it’s a beautiful hat and you can wear it as long as you know the history behind it and respect wearing it. The hat was worn by married women to signify their marital status. Now it is worn as part of the traditional Zulu dress ensembles during ceremonial events!
