@@natashahutchinson8403 thank you 🙏🏽
Love you. Phenomenal teaching
@@Kristiaancronje I appreciate you ❤️❤️❤️
I use satin is it good for puffy bolero
@@miral9595Satin is good too. I used mikado. It has more structure than satin and the sheen of satin at the same time. Liquid organza is also a nice fabric.
Thanks for your help
@@miral9595 most welcome!
Which fabric is best
Absolutely beautiful 🎉yaaaaaas Queen 👸
@@ceejay-ct thank you ❤️
So is the fabric folded in half starting out??

Very insightful 🙏🏻
@@meenalshah24 Glad you found it helpful! Thanks for watching 🙏🏽
Hello! did you add any elastic? do the sleeves fall down?
@@Paulina-i4c Hiii! I did not add elastic because the fabric stretches well! I think just make the bicep of your fabric a little smaller than your regular bicep to make it tighter around the biceps.
Thank you!
@@felistaspraisemakuza7467 you’re most welcome!

@@YeleStitches I learned a lot from your video... Your brother in Trinidad and Tobago..

I have a business pitch today and this is me watching this over and over! I’ll be back to share me testimony🎉❤
Amen!!! I wish you great success with your business!
I've never sewn before, but the results turned just the way I hoped thanks to this. Thank you! :)
That is amazing! Thank you for watching
Now this is a great watch and a very entertaining pitch.. as a fashion designer myself I must commend your composure in your presentation.. well-done ma..
Thank you very much sis, I appreciate your kind words
Thank-you so much! This is exactly what I needed! HINT: USE A BOWL, PLATE, OR PAN TO TRACE THE TOP OF YOUR CURVE, THEN USE A RULER TO TO EXTEND GUIDE LINE TO EDGE.
Great hint!
Thank you. Looks like you need to make a swing machine mat to stop it moving around.
Thank you !!!
Thanks so much! This is an excellent tutorial. Can you do a pre-tied headband version of this using stretch fabric and a satin lining?
Glad you enjoyed the tutorial! I will look into that, no problem
Bless you! I could not get the automatic butonholer to work. Thznks a million!
You are most welcome!
Beautiful😊
Thank you 🙏🏽
Love you Yele
Awww love you too sis!
Hello, how do you measure the curved part for the wog cap? You have only shon the height and length...please help a beginner 😢 thank you😂❤
lol I would suggest maintaining a straight at the height of it for like 7 inches, then gently slope down to the end of it
hi, am wondering if non Africans, meaning other ethnicity or race can wear this hat too? or is it tied to a religious practice that is offensive for other race to wear?
I cannot speak for Africans everywhere but from my perspective it’s a beautiful hat and you can wear it as long as you know the history behind it and respect wearing it. The hat was worn by married women to signify their marital status. Now it is worn as part of the traditional Zulu dress ensembles during ceremonial events!
@@YeleStitches ah okay. understand now. thank you!
@@TheSantasnowy most welcome!
I hope we not slapping folks with our Zulu hats😂😂. Came across your vid searching these hats cuz my mom wanna make one. I'm sure she'll just be buying materials and making me make it, so thank you for a fun easy to follow tutorial
lol no violence! 😂😂😂 So glad you enjoyed the tutorial! Have fun making it and please tag houseofyele on Instagram when you do! Thank you!
Where did you get the satin?
You can get it on Etsy
😂 indeed a wonderful pitch. Engage your audience i learnt something
Thank you so very much! Glad it was entertaining and educating!
TUDaH RBaH (thank you very much, in Hebrew). // SHLM & HaB (peace & love). The Name of the Creator is Hayah asher Hayah, as what He told Moshah (Exodus 3:14), preserved in the Hebrew Scriptures. There is a curse to the G-o-d name (Isaiah 65:11-12), preserved in the Hebrew Scriptures. All followers of the Messiah are to do the 7 appointed times (Leviticus 23), but no more animal sacrifices, following the Crucifixion of the Messiah. We are now of the order of MLK TSDQ (King, righteous), to Whom ABRaHM tithed. Ask the Messiah to be your personal Savior. He said to him, I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me (John 14:6). ...for all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of Hayah (Romans 3:23). The wages for sin is death but the gift of ALaHYM is Everlasting Life through Messiah Yahushgh our Master (Romans 6:23). That if you confess with your mouth the Master Yahushgh and believe in your heart that ALaHYM raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved (Romans 10:9). He Himself is an Atoning Offering for our sins, and not for ours only but also for all the world (1 John 2:2).
Thankyou very much❤

Lovely, but I thought we would get to see it on you so we could see how it looks in the end.

do you think it would work to simply hold a sheet of satin around one's head (with extra for stretch and seam allowance), and like cut that piece (basically a giant circle) out and sew that into the hat?? Asking bc i dont have a serger or a sewing machine
It doesn’t hurt to try! You can definitely do that and I hope it works out great
I loved this video! I did laugh but mainly because I can't draw straight either and my lining would've looked the same. You made it look easy! And thank you for showing us using a sewing machine because my hand sewing is terrible! New subscriber!
Thank you so much Sheila! So happy you enjoyed the video!
“If you are laughing at me, god is watching you.” 😂
Haha did you laugh?!
Thanks for this! I have long super thick wavy/curly hair and I never wear hats because they wreck my hair. I'm in Scotland so it'd be nice to be cosy! I crochet but I don't really sew so went looking for a tutorial and found this. I'll have to hand sew it but it gives me a clue where to start.
I am extremely glad to hear this!
Yele, what size needle are you using and are you using a specific presser foot? Thx
I will advise a size 80/12 or at most middle size. No special presser foot. Regular kind.
Thx so much! I like the results!! great job and ur so funny btw loll @@YeleStitches
