I only have 5 sub gens with full Ach sets. We were only playing 5 months when the meta changed with Civ gear. So if you pay close attention to all the Civ pieces the Augustus set Helm & Legs are way way better than Ach also Arab gears have some major debuffs to park it on your sub. And there's two super secret gears no one talks about. USA boots & the ring (Freedom star) the only Civ gears with an extremely useful debuff they both will give -20% enemy defense. So if you put them both on a sub that's way more useful than on a general, there isn't any other Civ gear with an all troop debuff like that so definitely worth taking advantage of on a Sub gen
Great Video Genghis! Yes I've been saying for a long time it don't make sense to have troop capacity books on Subs cuz how often are you gonna have your subs full of troops almost never unless your a wealthy Evony player blowing lots of gems to keep them topped off. For most of us the gold book is better than nothing and a gold sub will produce the most gold so may as well take advantage even tho it's chump change. But now that it seems that sub troops stay alive more often it might be worth it to have troop cap on there
Also, something that was hard to find out-If you get demoted in rank ranking, you don’t actually lose that sub. It will show 8/9 (example) but seems to still show up in reports and will build troops.
There are several sub-city generals that seems useful for development of the sub, like Empress Wu. If your subs are relatively new or still being developed, would it not make sense to have them in your sub, and if you go into battle, change them out with some of the generals shown in the video? (That is what I am currently doing).
Non coiners will never compete with coiners on sub cities. On every server I bet the same names get the Russia and Japan subs of purple or gold quality.
Wouldn't call, myself a big coiner, but then my server isn't a big spending server, but I have won a few purple Russian sub cities. After spending around 50 to 80 bucks.
If t1 trap flat refines work on t11 and below troops, would it not be advantageous to add some flat refines to sub gen gear? Reason only debuffs matter is because of the low quality troops in subs. Get a sub to k35 and building t14s, those buffs would help finally. Because that's crazy, minus in city sub, wondering if flat refines would have any real benefit?
@@MarkRogowsky doesn't sub troops auto target the enemies' sub troops in battle? My theory is, the faster their sub troops die, the more chances your main city troops have to kill in city troops without all the debuffs from the sub gens gear and such. When fighting an equal or higher powered keep, it could make a big difference in power swap. Has anyone tested sub troops capabilities? Would def be something for endgame and not worth the effort in place of actual troops etc.. if anyone has tested sub troops to any degree beyond what's commonly used, please share results. :)
What you do is keep all 3 and when you can fill the other slots with good sub generals, then you cannibalize the Antony to ascend. Keep in mind that with 3 all you can do is make a 6 and a 5*. So you'd really only melt one unless you get a 4th. Then you might consider a single 7* over the group of 5* ones. But you need other good sub generals in all your slots.
Is there a reason you didn't mention Mansa Musa, Arminus with a side plug for Wei Qing? On a side note I just checked and I don't have a level 1 rebirth. I am not sure why.
Do you have to be a certain level to get subs? I'm new to the game only been playing a week but trying to learn as much as I can. Currently I'm level 3
Hoping someone can help me with this but on my main sub city I have Baldwin with skill books and full Achae and everytime I attack a keep he always dies even if I win the attack, why is that ?
@@Torturevictims after the attack I looked at the sun city and there was few troops in it so maybe they all died? But it’s always that sub for some reason so I’m guessing the sub that is attached to your keep always attacks first? 🤷♂️
@@jihadhazameh9635 I assume your main city sub is higher level than your other ones, so maybe the higher tier troops get targeted first? That is very interesting that he always dies but the rest survive
There's a bug where all your sub troops don't participate in the battle. It'll say you have like 12 troops on the battle report and they die so your general dies. In reality, you have 10,000 troops in that city. Evony has failed to address why this happens.
The same thing happens to me. What is puzzling is that the number of soldiers in the subcity in the report is different from the number of soldiers in the actual subcity. I asked the customer about this on the ticket, but they didn't reply to this🤷♀️

I have a bunch of epic china's right now for speed production. Still training troops and leveling up buildings.

Yes but it will take a long time. I’m considering gemming them once just to get them up
Im still currently trying to figure out whether the sub city resource buildings do anything at all.
Also, something that was hard to find out-If you get demoted in rank ranking, you don’t actually lose that sub. It will show 8/9 (example) but seems to still show up in reports and will build troops.
Right, you just can't add on back if you lose one. If you win the lottery, you will have to drop two to take the new one.
Congrats on 10k.. ( it's coming for sure)

I heard about the Achae gear for subs just last week 😂
My problem is I can’t get enough materials to get the gear
More vikings. Then more vikings. Make your alliance rally more vikings.
Is it better to have a green Japan or a blue/purple arabia?
Mechanics explained would help as opposed to opinions
Great content

No, it wouldn't help. The troops are not just terrible in subs, there are too few of them to matter.

Thanks Genghis. I have 3 Mark Antony. -35% debuff seems significant. Worth keeping multiple or ascending 1?
He very good

Why is siege easier to debuff than other things?
Siege debuff is on many sub gear.
How is Harald ? I am a low coiner and have to use 3 Haralds. should I abandon them and refresh tavern for Jackson ?
Bad
Harald's biggest problem is poor scaling. He gains a decent 6*, but then the 7 and 8* boosts are poor.

Do your sub troops die? Even if you win the attack your sub troops can still die, which in return kills the sub general.
