I used to be able to frontflip on ground but lost it over summer i can do it very well on a trampoline but i dont have basically anything soft to take oitside and learn the frontflip again like if you think i can do it🤔
As a Tumble coach for over 10 years I would recommend that no beginner should be attempting the Russian front flip especially on a hard surface. He made it look easy but I can assure you that he knows exactly where he’s at in the air but you won’t.
I have landed on my back like 20 times and I am still trying I wasn’t scared because I have done it at school in front of my class on tiles and it didn’t hurt
Ha, I watched your old front flip video a bunch of times when I was first learning how to flip, had no idea you were still doing videos, that’s awesome
I did it 100 times in the pool. Very good trick because you can visualyse aproximatively where you would land on ground. When you feel ready, try it on ground. I did it without hesitation and almost landed it. After 5 times doing it, I landed on my back and it wasn't very cool. It was still funny(and it wasn't very painfull). Do it under 25 years old and you have almost no chance to break something. I'm gonna practice more and I am sure that at the end of the summer i'm landing it.
Ur right its super unclear and not for beginners at all I couldnt even get the blocking part cause he was just do this and I'm like JUST DO WHAT this is unsafe and this video shouldn't exist
I got this down about 2 days ago. I started doing summersaults onto a mattress, then just start flipping on it when you get comfterable. Once you're comfortable just go for it on flat ground, make sure you try to over rotate.
A good way to start is to do a forward roll then build up to a dive roll and once you have a dive roll do them both on the floor and then put sofa cushions all over the floor and run and do a dive roll then build up from that and push yourself really hard on the sofa cushions all over the floor Guys if you fall on cushions it doesn’t hurt at all trust me the first time I fell I got a shock thinking it would hurt but it didn’t at all ok? A few tips I have is to jump intro your forward roll ( on sofa cushions ) and then practise jumping into your forward roll without arms and once you can do your front tuck on sofa cushions or a trampoline perfectly try on the ground Hope you get you’re front tuck! 💜💙💖💓💕💗
Tip: Start off with doing some somersaults (X10), then try to jump around and get used to that motion of grabbing your legs, then try it on it bed or trampoline and when you're ready do it on the ground. That's how I learnt it in like 30 minutes.
Can you help me? I do the 'but pop' I feel the force going over but I can't stop landing on my but. I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. I always under flip and can't make it to my feet 🙏 please help
Amayaaa EDWARDSSS, in order to correct that, you need to balance your momentum going up and forward. In other words, you need to start the flip with your hand and body at a 45° angle. That will guarantee enough height and forward momentum to prevent landing on your butt. But of course, you need to tuck as tight as you can either by holding the back of your thighs or your shin.(hint: the tighter your tuck, the faster you will rotate). And don't forget to untuck and push your legs to the ground(MOST IMPORTANT) :)
I've tried to do a front flip on trampoline and every time I just land on my knees or I land on my feet while I'm crouched and just fall over. What am I doing wrong? Do I need to straighten my legs sooner?
So I’ve given a committed try 3 times now and I’ve done the same thing every time, I run, block, throw my arms back and I don’t think I have control over my legs when I flip. Whatever it is, I place my feet on ground ASAP each landing and it’s way too early- essentially smashing the shit out of my calves and falling back to lay on the ground. Do I need to rotate more? Do I need to place my feet later? I’m really not that sure.
When you jump you should make something like a dash and during that dash make a momentum like kicking your legs forward during the time you're in the air but you would need the right timing both for the momentum and for the landing and also make sure to jump dash a little bit higher at least 2/3 of your height like at your chest level so that your upper body won't fall easily and your neck wasn't near the ground.
@@Syngeman Yeah backflip would be better start on trampoline, then move onto mattress, then on gym floor in a gymnastics gym, or soft grass down a hill, then you can do it flat on the ground soft grass would be best
