Something a little different! Join us as we travel door to door, from our AirBnb in the old town of Las Palmas, Gran Canaria to beautiful Funchal Madeira. Let us know if you like to see more door to door journeys.
Thanks for letting us know you enjoyed it @@WyldStallion-bs9oo. We hoped it might be helpful? Yes that's right they do indeed still take cash, which is great eh? All the best and hope to bring you many more.
It was rather nice to push our boundaries a bit I must admit and it was fun to do. We would like to do a few more in between the walks, so we're really pleased you liked it.
Thanks Yvonne & Mike 🙂 Stop the press! I'll be in Madeira from 29th April, leaving on 6th May if our paths are crossing? This was a very interesting & informative video embracing your new style which I loved! Did you walk all the way from city centre Funchal to Lido? Have a truly beautiful week my friends 🤗
Hi there chum, pleased you like the 'new style' it was fun to make. Ah how frustrating that we'll miss you again, as we'll be there in March. We're in the process of buying a little place in Funchal though, so I hope we'll be spending a bit more time there. I do hope our paths will cross some time soon. All the best to you mate.
Hello again Stephen, thanks for staying connected. Glad you enjoyed it. We'd recommend flying with Binter if you ever get the chance. It's a lovely little airline. All the best to you.
I see that they took Global 91 (Interisland Buses) you also have from the Capital with departures from Santa Catalina and San Telmo Line 60 which is the one that takes you to the Airport directly, in fact it is called [Gran Canaria Airport Express] literally. But they took the bus in the Plaza de Santa Isabel (in the Historic Center) For those who come to Gran Canaria they have to know that Global is the Public Transport of Gran Canaria, but if you go to the capital you will find another company that is also public, which is Guaguas Municipales, which is in charge of Urban Transport, that is, within the city. Like Global, it works but with destinations on the outskirts of the City. They are the two main transportation companies on the island. What we islanders do to Global we call Global and to Guaguas Municipales we call the yellow bus. They are easy to differentiate. And the Airport is not Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, it is Gran Canaria Airport (LPA) although the official name is "Gran Canaria International Airport" where the Gando Area Base is located. Since the Airport is located in two municipalities, the majority of which is Telde owns 80% of the Airport while the Municipality of Ingenio owns the remaining 20%. That is, the Airport is located in the middle area of the island between the north and south. Las Palmas de Gran Canaria is quite far away, it is literally impossible to walk from the airport to the nearest city, which is Carrizal de Ingenio. To leave the Airport you have to take the Bus, Taxi or person who comes to pick you up. And soon the Train that will be available by 2030. Gran Canaria in general is easy to locate, you have signs everywhere. What I currently do not recommend is if you are going to stay in the Capital, do it in the area of La Isleta, Parque Santa Catalina, by the MetroGuagua Works in terms of parking, if you come by Bus fine, but by car it would be complicated because in That area is going to change the entire strait of the isthmus, the Carnival stopped taking place there because the entire environment is being changed, a large public park, improvements in lighting. And they are works that will last until 2029. Since it is ReUrbanization 😃 Saludos !!!

Funny - it feels very different, and yet it's still completely Living Walks somehow. Nice work - I can see you both must have enjoyed making this.
We certainly had fun making it and would like to do a few more in between the walks, so we're really pleased you enjoyed it. Thanks for dropping by.
This is really good. I bet it was nice having something to get your teeth into, editing wise...
