I feel like you and Jenn could open a museum one day to show off your collections!
I cannot tell you how excited I was to know yall were literally 20 min from me! The first Buccees is STILL my favorite Buccees❤
I grew up in LJ about 10 minutes from there too lol They needed to go check out the bigger one a few miles down the road off “332”
It's crazy to see how small the original Buc-ee's is compared to the other big ones in other states. Hope you and Jenn have a great time Jacob! 😊😊
Yall were about a 10 minute drive from the local "big" buccees in the Clute/Lake Jackson area, and believe it or not, its one of the more unique ones. It the only Buccees with a car wash AND a coffee shop.
Remember when Stucky’s was the “must stop “ place on a southern road trip? Funny how Buc-ees rhymes with Stucky’s.
So good to see you and Jen having a good time. We love you Jen.
21:12 I collected them too, and loved Hardee's cinnamon Raisin biscuits.
My brother collected them too and his name is also Timothy
The Largest Bucees is in Lulling, Texas. It opened last summer. We couldn't let the Sierville, Tennessee Bucees be the biggest. 😂
I’m glad you film the places you go so Jenn can still see them if she doesn’t feel like going.
Yes, that’s precisely why he does it. He had no reason to film before Jenn. 🫤🧐
@@jeremybenton458. You know what I meant. I’m thrilled we get to see them too.
You should let us vote on which photo op will be on your postcards.
I loved the toy museum, and I had so many of them when I was a kid, especially the Star Wars ones. The first Buc-ee's was interesting. Talk about humble beginnings, but without that one, there would be no others. Also, can we all just take a moment to admire Miss Jen's T-shirt? Clever girl, indeed.
Excellent, guys. we need stuff like that in Canada 🇨🇦 great video. I love seeing you two out making videos together, your a lucky man Jacob. Till the next one, take care my friends and as always very safe travels.
I read this too fast and thought you said "you two making out" instead of "you two out making". 😃
@@loravaloo55Um, yeah. I'm glad you said it first. You know how at first glance you don't see something properly. 😂
I did not know a small Buckees existed, but hey, gotta start somewhere. Buckees is always a part of our road trips. Great Video!
There are Buc-ees all over Houston that are just regular gas station sizes. They are in less busy areas.
I hope you and Jen ate at Whataburger during your stay in the beautiful Lone Star State! 4:10 OMG! A WWF Steel Cage Ring Set! The Intercontinental Title is in the WRONG section because that's the Attitude Era belt! DUDE, Legos are AWESOME! I'm 32, and I collect Legos! I've always loved Legos! 10:38 The Ultimate Warrior Action Set!
80s toys bring back memories for me!!
Anyone remember T.J. Bearytales?
20:59 The phrase "Collect them all!" has a deep and lasting effect on kids.
Oh! They have Poochie ( the pink eared dog I think is a toy poodle?) in the 80s section! 🩷 I was obsessed with watching that cartoon
The Buckee’s in Fort Wort TX is a BIG one. I visited it back in April, when I traveled to Texas for the total solar eclipse. Thanks, because I didn’t know that some Buckee’s were smaller! 😊
Good Morning Jacob and Jennifer 🙋🏽. Have a wonderful day ‼️❤️
Very much enjoyed the Toy Museum - vintage toys 🧸 are always interesting. Nice 👍 to show the different decades with popular toys. 🙉 🍭 As a Buc-ees fan, keep exploring them! Great video. Thank you!
Travel along Route 66 in the 60s you would look for Stuckey's. They had roadside signs that gave mileage to the next store. Now it's Buc-ees.
Awesome video as always Jacob keep up the amazing work and safe travels
I once played an Ozzy tape in a Teddy Ruxpin
lmao, I swear to god i think i did too lol
no rest for the wicked
Thanks the episode was great
Right in the Beaver Nuggets! 😆
Oh how happy I got when I seen that you came to Houston again. I love the Toy Museum, I went for a Lego event. It’s so fun to see all the old and new toys.
I'm glad Jenn felt like going to Bucee's with you. ❤
I found old paper dolls in our basement that belonged to my mother-in-law when she was a child. They were of Shirley Temple also of Princess Elizabeth ( before she was queen) and Princess Margaret as children, from the 1930s & 1940s.
Auburn Alabama has large Bucees with barbecue and over 90 gas pumps and electric car charging stations
That's just how good the marketing was when we were kids, we'd want the item w out even knowing why. The tackle box w the animal cards was a buy only on tv commercial, ran all the time on tv. Were a few things I noticed out of time line , like I had the Nintendo NES in 86 etc. I actually have a lot of these items u saw as a retro collector & store! Oh the good ole years, takes ya back!
The advertisers knew that every kid in the country was glued to the TV set every Saturday morning back then.
I feel the same way when we can find a KwikTrip gas station. It's nice to know that you can count on clean bathrooms and decent food to eat
That toy museum makes me so happy! I collect that stuff. I found a E.T. View master at an antique mall, you just reminded me to look for some more disc's.
Bucees missed merchandise marketing opportunity
They dropped the ball not having the original T shirts. Thanks for sharing
That was a neat Toy Museum & saw my favorite toy of all time & that was The Creepy Crawly Bug 🪲🐛 Maker !!! I wore mine out I used it so much. I wish that I could find me one that still works !!! I have heard so much about Bucc-ee's but have never been to one 😢. Why don't they build any in NC ? Hope Jen is feeling better !!! Jacob you cracked me up when you was putting on that life-size paper doll shirt 😄!!! Thanks Jacob & Jen for taking us along on your adventure !!! 🙂🤠
The jolly chimp - i am 70 years old and still traumatized, lol. Pure evil, who ever played with those nightmares? Lol
I’m with Jenn, buc-ees is also my favorite.
Morning Jacob 🤓📸 and Jenny Penny, going to the first Buc-ees in Texas. Thanks for sharing this and going to the Houston Toy museum for Jenny. That's nice. You take care.✌️
Thank You for the Video. Bringing 😊smiles to all your "Fans".
Hi Jacob! I loved the ball pit scene. The looks on your face were hilarious!
Skeleton Crew--that book cover scared me, too. 😊
I had that McDonald’s play set. It was like the play food kitchen style. There was fake plastic ice cream that would fall into like the cones or bowls. There was fake drinks that would look like they were coming out of the machine attached to the top. The play food sets back in the day were top notch.
I loved the Toy Museum, a lot of those Toys brought back memories in fact I still have a lot of those Toy’s Today.
If you're still in the Houston area, I'd recommend going to the kemah boardwalk. It's a short drive from H town. I think you'd enjoy it.
I ❤ your videos! You love American history!!
Love it Carpetbagger.... Yeah Houston area Bucees are blah ... Here in the DFW area we got Giant ones.... Temple Texas, just North of Austin got a big one as well.
Swing by to this HUGE BUCCEES in ROYSE CITY you will ❤ it!
I would have NEVER imagined somebody in the 70s released a Meathead, Jr. doll. Insane.
Love Jen in the videos!
Crazy to see how small that one is compared to what you see now. Talk about expanding.
Don’t be dissin’ OG Buccee’s!
😂
I’m from the area, but live in Austin now.
Love the Toy Museum and the two smaller version of Buc ees. I especially enjoy seeing Jenn with you.
Jacob and Jenn....you went to my favorite store of all time and I have never been to. You rwo are awesome
Hungry hungry hippos did NOT need rules!!! Hunger games board game! :)
Cootie, either. Why play the game? It was fun to just build cooties.
3:35 the Shogun Warriors (under the D&D octopus thing you're talking about at that point.)
Some people say “the carpet bagger gets so many crush pennies he helps support the copper industry”
Always amazing video with you and Jenn amazing video 😊
There was a huge Buc-ees you could've gone to in Katy off I-10. There's also one in Texas City and Baytown. All are fairly large. Luling is being remodeled. It was huge, but is being made even bigger. Bastrop, on the way to Austin from Houston, is huge too.
I still have some of the California Raisins figurines
When you were upstairs at the toy museum looking at the Star Wars and marvel toys, you can hear a kid in the background saying he has to go to the bathroom and go peepee. That kids pee request will now be forever recorded in carpetbagger history. lol
Fun… I had ALLLLLLL those 1970s toys. Goodness. That 2nd Bucee’s reminded me of a racetrack. Jen makes me laugh… “well, now that you said that… “
My step daughter had a color guard competition down the road from the original Buc-ee’s so my husband and I made it a point to stop there just to say been there done that
Fun video I love the toy museum
We do have much bigger Buccees in Texas than the ones you and Jen stopped at...go up I-45 to Madisonville and there you will see the biggest versions of Buccees as well as in Denton, TX...you won't be disappointed on either locations...I promise...Hope you and Jen have. a great evening.
I was near the Ennis, TX Buccee's today
Jacob and Jenn keep up good work! I look forward to all your vlogs!! I loved Time machine restaurant! I hope to go soon!!
Of all the thousands of toys, we didn't see one of our favorites called Simon. It was a very popular electric, multicolored, with different tones. You had to copy a random sequence a computer generated to win. I have one but can't post an image.
Take care, we enjoy all your shows! Sure wish Buc Ees was here in Ca. Would love some cheap, ethanol free gas!!
Been watching your videos for a while now and glad to see you're in my part of town. Living right here in small little Clute/Lake Jackson. Side note: Creepy Hallow haunted house is nearby here and would be a nice addition for your visits.
I love Jen's statement that Buc-ees is like a modern day oasis! She is absolutely right!
I love the Raptor shirt Jen. It is so You.
There are huge Buc ees in Tx, my brother in law lives in Texas and has visited the biggest buc-ees in Tx.
It looks like it’s in Luling, Texas which is a couple hours west of Houston.
We need a mini series, a side quest if you will- of visiting awesome gas station chains
I heard a lot of people like Qwik Trips
I love buccees ❤❤
Maybe the year of fun gas stations/truck stops in the future.
Oh, and I loved Quick Trip when I used to live in the Midwest. They had a lot of choices on their soda (pop) fountains.
Classic toy museum I wonder 💭 if Jenny is near by
Mebane, North Carolina is the next Buc-ee's!! Can't wait.
I had most of that stuff omg.
At Bucees you missed the kid with two different shoes! How rare😮
I loved my Creepy Crawlers😸
31:41 so if they don’t have the hot food like the larger stores I wonder when that started? Maybe you should go to the second Buckees and see what the difference in the two is
And the barbecue sandwiches are my favorite, so I would’ve been so disappointed 😂 I like when Jen asked if y’all could another Buckees 😂
Thanks for going to the First Buc-ees. Now I know I don't need to go there.
I recognize the Hi Heidi doll. I had one when I was seven years old.
Childhood Toy Memories! Just missing the evolution of the Nintendo Gameboy
Loved my popples and pound puppies
That would be Cowel the owl from She-Ra. Wow talk about a blast from my past.
I would love to see some of these retro toys make a comeback, today's toys aren't so great.
I enjoy your videos so much 🎉
Hi Jacob and Jen ❤ I enjoy every video you post. I love watching you both . I hope you feel better, Jen. I wish you got the big stuffed Buc-ee it was so cute. We don't have Buc-ee's here in upstate NY 😢. I would love one. See you tomorrow have a great night 🌙 😘.
For travelers, Buccees is the modern version of the old Stuckey’s.
That OG Buc-ees looks a lot like Wisconsin's Kwik Trip gas stations.
Originally, Mr. Potato Head was sold as a box of body parts that you would affix to a real potato.
The more you know!
After seeing that toy museum Jacob needs to release a Carpetbagger action figure in his merch shop.
Yeah I've wanted a plastic CB playset for ages. With a red "Rosebud" SUV and a little plastic camera. A car kitchen, maybe. And Jacob and Jen action figures.
I still have my My Buddy doll! He guards my closest.
The original Creepy Crawlers was from the '70's....I should know....my brother & I got burned more than once 😮
Matchbox cars are still very popular, there are some guys that damn near fight eachother for the ones that pop up at my local Dollar Tree.
You are correct, Jacob. It is Bear-en-stein Bears. Don't let the Mandela Effect fool you!
My grandpa was actually class mates with the guy who founded Buc-ee’s and when he opened the first Buc-ee’s in Clute he asked my grandpa if he wanted to be part owner but he turned it down
New Braunfels, Texas has the Buccee’s gas station you are probably looking for. They have the bbq and is way bigger than the Pearland one.
JACOB, I hope you finally got your Michaelangelo!
Yep I had many if those toys too growing up I did have that set of wrestlers but disappeared somehow
I still have my view master reels and projector in their tin. I got them for Christmas in 1981.
I remember when that Buc-ees opened in 1982. I made a video of it also a couple years ago in my list. Some people may argue with you saying it is in Lake Jackson though, not Clute. It kind of right on the city line.
