Forest Fan here. Great vlog. Really balanced views. You’re right that if those chances had been put away in the first half it would have been a different game altogether.
It was a very good showing in the first half, a lot of positivity to take from that performance, Second Half though they just managed the game all the way to the whistle and did so very well too. The takeaway is those upstairs can no longer ignore just how thin that squad is. One look at that lineup and yes we were excited for Gomes n Lima but petrified at the thought of no Semedo, no Andre (obv. we knew of Cunha's fate)... we were worried and rightly so as it transpired. At some point they upstairs have to take responsibility and accept they F'd up royally gambling in defence post MK and it's derailed the entire season. Much to like though, even in defeat, Rodrigo Gomes was outstanding, Lima entered the stage a game too early but showed he has some class too.... we carried a good threat in the first half and played well. Andrew was a HUGE miss and it really showed. In defence, we had a picket fence. Fix that and we'll be fine.
Thanks for a great vlog, guys. In my view, a perfect assessment of what I saw. I am glad VP went public in expressing his views on what is needed in the January window because it puts Jeff Shi and Matt Hobbs under more pressure. Sadly, that's the only way to get a response from them. We need 2 to 3 defensive reinforcements at the very least.
To survive we need to give the manager a fighting chance chance - 2 cb and some more quality ..forward because Beligarde and Hwang ( even though he’s come back with a couple of goals) aren’t doing a lot for me …. The lack of depth is telling ….Jeff needs to smell the coffee soon.
While the general Wolves play was decent in parts, the lack of quality in finishing was glaring. In the second half, they huffed and puffed but really didn’t offer a real threat. The concern is that the next few games are against top eight teams and I really don’t see us getting too many points which will keep us in the basement. It appears we have a central defender coming in but we still need a couple of Premier level quality strikers. Forest were brutally efficient and punished us on the break when they needed to. I don’t blame the new Manager - I’m sure he is capable but he needs the right tools to get this situation improved. Fosun are the real culprits in this mess.
Just looked disjointed for large parts of the game, hopefully just a bump in the road and defensive reinforcements are on the way. Does make you worry for when Cunha is sold where’s the spark going to come from.
All the goals were defensively poor, although the last one was forgivable under the circumstances of chasing the game. But we created some great chances and but for fantastic saves from Sels and some awful finishing from JSL we still get a point out of that. Second half performance was poor, and that's the bigger concern besides the need for upgrades at the back and arguably the front too.
Bit like watching Wolves of old albeit this time they were in red. A classic Nuno style of play and game plan……ironic when you think about it….. That said if we’d have put away the chances we created it could well have been a different outcome.
Hwang created a great chance that Larsen missed. Why do you scapegoat Hwang? Hwang should replace Larsen. Hwang is a better chance converter than Larsen. Highest conversion rate in the PL in the 22-23 season. He's a better finisher than Larsen. How many chances does Larsen need to score? He's one of the reasons Wolves was in the relegation zone.
We were so weak in the tackle today forest were winning all of the 50 50s balls I know we had injuries and Cunha out but I think it's going to take one hell of a fight to stay up with these players Forum need to decide if they are prepared to back the manager or let us become the next Southampton because selling your best players and replacing them with ones for the future who may never be good enough will only end one way no wonder Cunha is thinking over his options who wants to be on this sinking ship?!!
Wolves fell into numerous traps laid by Forest. It's happened to the best teams. Wolves though, they will be fine this season. Mid table quality squad at a minimum. No way they go down.
Injuries again showed how lacking in squad depth Wolves are. We desperately need two CBs and a new left side defender. I would push RAN in the space behind JSL .Hwang was poor, Guedes was poor Lemina had no impact, VP had little on the bench to make any difference to the outcome. If only JSL could have put at least one of the chances he had away tonight.
Defense looked like O'Neil was back, nuff said. Very poor substitutions has to be said. No quality up front, very poor. Lemina just didn't look interested and Bellegarde was his usual self, crap. Sarabia was pointless. This wasn't good enough all around.
I’ve said all along we DO NOT have the quality people say we do, including our fans and podcasts, we look with rose tinted glasses but truth be told we are generally awful. Bad on the ball, unintelligent, no intricacy. Bueno, Larsson, Hwang, Doyle, Guedes, Bellegarde - even part timer Ait Nouri don’t start for any other prem team.
We score enough goals to be top 10, it’s at the back we are terrible, there is not enough height in that team, I look at a corner like a penalty every time we concede one
Forest fan here, You lot will be ok if you play like that, rarher have a Wolves over Brentford, Bournemouth any day, shame about the MGW chants, theres banter then theres just being a Cnut

If wood has larsons chances he scores both of them
If fosun think buying 1 defender will solve everything they’ve got the taste of the championship to come.

We played into their hands defending so high. Santi at fault for both goals losing both scorers

Larsen is the problem.

This is what Gon and Hobbs have left vitor peira to work with.

I love watching opposing fans after weve given them a hammering.
The problem with transfer windows, Wolves also see their premier players leaving, leaving a mediocre championship squad ?
thought Wolves fluffed a handful of decent chances and Forest punished us on the counrer. Glad we got some decent centrebacks coming soon.
Bueno and Hwang were both very poor tonight

Beuno did ok, apart from his goal did Wood have a kick?
I agree, he won a lot of 50/50s and had little physical help from anyone around him, I thought he did well

Hwang created a very good chance for Larsen. Did you watch the same game?
VP WILL TAKE ALL THIS IN
We need six wins and we can get it , there wasn’t much in it , three breakaway goals
Horrible mgw chants....he rammed it back down your throats
Oh Dear!
I thought Doc was decent, our best defender. Bueno is not good enough at this level really, can't wait for the new recruits to join

We need 2 defenders and a cou0le more signings
What Wolves need is new ownership!

I thought our B team did ok. 0-3 flatters them a bit.
Lack of quality is Wolves problem
Larsen was abysmal in front of Goal know Cunha up top and we look poor in front of goal Hwang was wank
Hwang created a great chance for Larsen. Why are you blaming Hwang for that loss? It's not Hwang's fault Larsen cannot finish.
Take Chris Wood, MGW & their 2 cb's out the starting 11 and forest do nothing. Thought wolves played well considering they're missing 4 key players
What a stupid comment, tell me any team that would do well without their best 4 players.
Agreed that’s like saying City are poor if you take Rodri De Bruyne, Halland and Dias out…. Yes they are and why they’ve slid right off
