I find it hard to overlook the fact that you as a new player can and will be put into a phase 2 server with people who either spent thousands or grinded for a very long time. This meaning you will not have "meta ships" or the tech points(TP) to use them properly. As of speaking if you are by any chance in a PVP war you will meet the so called "swarm fleet", which is the meta, at least one of which is a overpowered player with 300 TP in their carrier, max cruisers and max aircraft.
That being said it is still skill based... in phase 1... phase 2 is "who has more free time" kind of scenario, and depending on who played it for longer/payed more you win or lose unless you spend your time coordinating with your org/union/alliance in taking them down.

So how is the position for a new player starting now? Are the play areas already taken, good or otherwise? Can a new player be thrown into battle with players with superior equipment? Can a new player contribute anything meaningful if they want to play with other people? Can you catch up with older players? Can you still be a completionist and get any potential rewards unique to previous seasons?
Well because the season resets some things every few months, it makes it easier for a new player to join. It's possible to be thrown into battle with players who have superior equipment, but the ship models are a rock-paper-scissors type thing, so there is no one universally dominant fleet. New players can absolutely contribute - joining a team is critical for that :) And I don't think it's a completionist type of game - not that you miss much from previous seasons, but the element of chance in unlocking ships means that you'd be waiting a long time to unlock ABSOLUTELY everything
I found the game to be fun, but there area few issues that I have with Infinite Lagrange, mostly, I found it hard to coordinate with 99 other players in a union over the weeks and months that the game requires. Getting people together for attacks on level 9 cities consistently can be hard, and the victory conditions for the game a little hard to visualize also the chance to unlock cruisers and capital ships are far too low, I’m not saying that they need to adjust the game radically, but 5 weeks into my game I found myself with only a few dozen active players in my union and with too few powerful ships to really do anything on my own, the game IS great, but I found myself enjoying it less and less as time went on
Yeah, once you have an active union, the game really opens up imo

It's kind of pointless to make a "should you download" video or review when that same video is being sponsored by the game itself. Thank you for the video. You should make a review of season 3 while you're at it. I don't agree with the notion that paying for ingame currency isn't a game changer.
First, this is a business. Whoever is managing the software company that created this game wants revenue from it. There are no free lunches. So in order to do that, whoever pays for more ingame currency obviosusly gains advantage in technology research, which returns blueprints, better and more powerfull blueprints.
I don't think there isn't a player who thinks that it can win battles with frigates against battlecruisers...
Which brings me to the argument that, in order to win, you are "incentivised" to buy, using real money, ingame currency so that you can gain blueprint advantage, for better and more powerfull ships.
When you say that time is a resource that you use to build up your base and ships, i don't agree with that at all. Especially when you are up against players who are spending real money for better ships and who then destroy your long time consuming base construction in a matter of minutes, and send you to the graveyard...
Sorry, I don't mean to suggest that there's no advantage to paying extra - there clearly is. But in my opinion, it's not a game breaking advantage, and people who want to play without paying, but are willing to log in a few times every day, will not be far behind.
lol the only people talkin about this game are sponsored. Everything I can see about this game points to another paytowin mobile game. I will pass and so should the rest of you. Stop giving these gotcha games money so we can maybe get real games on mobile.
