Hi Simon. I know this was some time ago now, but congratulations on completing your training. I started watching your videos at some point in 2017, before starting my training which I completed in 2018. I’d assumed you had stopped your journey due to the 2 year gap, but glad to see that was just a hiatus. I do hope you are still flying and would love to see some of your uploads if so!
@@birminghampilot thanks for the message. Unfortunately life has taken over for now with a young family, haven’t flown for a couple of years. SEP lapsed last year. Will be back in the future. Are you still flying now?
@@simoncort22 I know what you mean, young family myself and with a couple of unfortunate circumstances this year I only just got my renewal in. Every year or so I ask myself if it’s worth continuing, but then I find a new challenge like tailwheel etc. Glad you got it off the bucket list though. I’m sure you’ll get back up when the time is right

@@aaronsaviation142it varies a lot. One of our examiners never says a word, just like driving test! Others will speak a little more than necessary but no-one is chatty. It is a test, and they do want you to succeed but they are not supposed to chat.

I am at the same stage, how long was it after your first solo nav that you did the skills test?

Hey, glad they help. I renewed my licence last year and I’m at around 90 hours now 👍 just considering doing my CPL (H) now!

Your instructor talks too much. Your Examiner will say little... so calling this a 'mock' is not strictly correct.
My examiner was really chatty, it’s not a car driving test. It’s a fellow pilot who wants to see you succeed! If you have a question just ask
