Just check the halal logo. Hawker, if the seller with hijab, InshaAllah halal. Just observe first, if Muslim buy at that place. Hope this will help you. Jazakallah.
everything here is perfect so far! still can’t believe i am given a chance to live in malaysia and experience what it feels like to live in a muslim majority county- not worrying abt searching for halal food and prayer rooms. alhamdulillah!! (plus ppl here are so warm-hearted🥺🥺)

You'll do just fine in Malaysia. It's a livable place, quite safe, affordable & Muslim friendly. The next few years will be the best time of your life, just like the time when I flew from Malaysia to USA to further my studies when I was 19.

Reminds me of my travel to Aklan and Manila, so hard to get halal food. But whenever we found halal it's always Mindanao muslims restaurant. I really enjoy their fish kinilaw. BTW welcome to Malaysia!

Salam sis, if you dont know this already, I would tell you, not all restaurants and foods are halal. We are multireligion countries, so there will be some non halal too. Make sure to read halal labels in packaging, and also halal certificate on restaurants.

Hope you'll enjoy traveling in Malaysia. Don't worry, most foods in Malaysia are halal. Just spot those who wear songkok, kopiah or hijab enter that restaurant you'll be fine. If you enter a non halal restaurant by mistake, some restaurant owner will notify you that this is a non halal restaurant. Some restaurants will write "non halal" or "tidak halal" before you enter the restaurant. As there is non Muslim in Malaysia as well.
Also, for mini markets and shops in Malaysia, some don't have halal logo on the packet.
Not the MRT line but the Ampang/Seri Petaling line...ongoing repairs to the pillars & tracks between Masjid Jamek station until Bandaraya station!
The non-halal foods are usually placed away from most foods as only the people that are looking for them will buy them. Also, most chinese restaurants are non halal. Thats from what I learned and observed.

Malay and English is almost 1 to 1 translation too though the words arrangement could be reversed.

You can get all the Pinoy food and products at the Pinoy Mall called Kota Raya opposite Chinatown in KL.

that's my cousin and my sister's uni. anyway malays and filipinos are considered as somehow related, along with a few other people like the samoan and maori from new zealand. we're considered part of the austronesian people and we also somehow look about the same.
