I know this comment is old but I just finished the game and not that is my favorite, but I respect her A LOT. Everyone has a reason and I understand them. I got so stressed playing as Abby because she got the worse battles hahaha
Abby is my favourite character ❤️ I love her so much. I feel so so bad for her model and voice actor for the hate they get. This game is truly a masterpiece in my eyes.
SUCH a good video for an amazing character. Honestly it baffles me that people think she's a shallow evil villain when she has nearly the exact same arc as Joel from the first game. But most folks don't like thinking critically I guess. Either way this was such good editing and a great song choice!
Abby is almost the opposite of Joel how can you sai she has nearly the same arc. Joel lost his daughter and he himself said that he for many years didn't want to survive and no matter what he always finds a reason to keep going and keep fighting one of those reasons being the closest thing to a daughter and someone hed give his life for, he travelled across the country for some girl that he didn't know but ended up being his whole world, meanwhile Abby lost her father (a man that got killed holding a scalpel ready to kill joel and a child without her consent because she didn't knew she was getting killed and they asked Jerry himself if it was his daughter if hed do it and he hesitated) spent 5 years preparing for a revenge even tho she his bigger than godzilla needs a whole group to kill one man then gets saved by one of her enemies (lev) simpathyzes with him and takes him on a trip REMINDER THEY BOTH END UP ON STICKS LEFT TO DIE, if it wasn't for ellie releasing them abby and lev would be dead. So i dont think that Joel and Abby have the slightest in common, and Abby is a shallow evil villain yes because she did to others what shes avenging being extremely hipocritycal and stupid. Now prove me wrong.

I just thought he was a senseless character, he shaved his head and says he dosn’t like the scars rules, but then praises them. Says he loves his family, yet puts them in danger by running away, shaving his head, and forcing his sister to chase after him. Imo, he caused alot of unnecessary damage. The amazing game, would’ve been much better without him.

I relate to this character so much. The similarities are so insane and I know it’s stupid to feel so deeply for a character but fuck man. I see so much of myself in her and it hurts to see her suffer so much. This is a gorgeous video. It’s crazy how much fiction can help you see that if a bunch of pixels is like an exact copy of you, then there has to be more people like you out there. It really makes you think about the fact that you aren’t ever truly alone

Abby's pretty close to a monster.
Abby is only hated by the moronic children who do not understand the concept of story telling and they simply want to live in their impractical fantasy world where Joel becomes an immortal and saves the universe for Ellie and rides off together into the sunset and rainbows on a gallopping unicorn.
