this is THE FIRST tlou edit I've seen on TH-cam that mostly focuses on conveying emotions without dramatic lines, which is exactly what the show did, and why both the show and this edit can resonate with us so deeply. This is a gold mine.

Not many words needed to be spoken, you just let the song speak for itself and match up the scenes accordingly.. And the way you were holding back the action, letting it start slow, letting it build up into that crescendo where the SCENES actually match up WITH THE MUSIC! As it gets louder and louder and then goes back down again ever so gently.. All in all, ✨chefs kiss✨ This convinced me to start watching more of these edits on youtube cuz this is going straight to my favorites playlist!

To capture the beauty, pain and essence of it all, to make something painful even more hurting, to contain the very emotion and narrowing it down from the hours long episodes to five minutes is a work of art. this whole piece is gorgeous and im literally blown away. but 3:26 onwards is a whole new level. the beat drop, the violence and gunshots and screaming interspersed by little scenes of dancing and gentleness was just.. the emotions conveyed, the way joel would do anything to protect ellie and the ferocious reality of their world dotted with the moments of comfort that show how real they are as characters.. i think its safe to say i will never see anything as beautiful as this ever again. major kudos to you

There is something about this and the show and the game that has reached me in a way that very little has. They have so uniquely illustrated how even when the world ends, joy can still be joy, pain can still be pain, love can still be love, and humanity can still be all these things in which make it human. I think it has something to do with how the infected are so incredibly inhumane at their core that accentuates the humanity in those that are still holding onto it. The characters feel love, joy, and pain so deeply because it is what they have that makes them human, to assure them that they are not monsters. When the sky is collapsing in on us we must hold on to what we have that helps us know we are still under it, and we are still real, because if not how would we know we are still human?
I can not begin to express how much this show and these characters as well as this song and this artist mean to me. This edit is my two favorite things combined and it could not be more perfect. The emotions this song brings out it me were exactly represented by the selection of clips from the show and both capture the most raw and vulnerable emotions a human can feel. This is truly a masterpiece! Thank you
