Hey, You should probably double check if pure power (and lightning damage) does anything for you. As far as I know, the conversion from your ring means that increased lightning damage will do nothing for you. Edit: Ofcourse it will help with the archmage portion of the damage, but there might be better options
Playing chrono myself, trying to use tech with 'when you block you take 10% damage' from amulet anointment. It's very hard to gain defence at t15 especially breach ritual encounters, but it's something. Maybe getting 75 block and evasion from anointment '1 es = 2 evasion' is the correct play but it's very luxury right now. Another defencive layer is kitokos gloves, but since you are cold that's irrelevant, anyway good video, I'll continue to watch what techs you can bring up to this class
Nice concept. I've also played around with recoup and another good annoint might be "Hale Heart" if you somehow manage to path all the way to the left. It grants 15% increased recovery which affects recoup. So basically giving another 15 or even more. Also if you get Recoup on amulet you can increase it with Quality by another 20% going up to 30% recouped as life :)
Adverse Growth has 20% reduced life recovery rate so Hale Heart as an annoint would help negate that downside - I just prefer this 34% damage taken from life setup as it lets me split the damage up, would love to get closer to 50% MoM but I'm not sure if that's possible rn. I value mana recoup on amulet over life recoup since my mana sustain isn't the best, no arcane surge scaling or mana on kill sapphire jewels to help with that currently. Quality is also something I've yet to add, that's a great shout :))
@@lubi9364 I found out we can get up to 4% MoM on sapphire jewels, but it's a suffix mod. There's a few really useful suffix mods, life or mana on kill, life recoup, and now MoM...so many choices
Cool to see for sure. I feel on chronomancer you should be abusing cdr as much as possible. The obvious choice is wall and ice bomb spam but I do like the skill duration increase idea you have going here for spark. One unique thing chronomancer can do that stormweaver can't is dive into battle with a lighting orb and warp to it, then immediately backtrack. Providing shocked ground at the target with full life. I'm planning on this with the ignited ground boots and bomb spamming for speed and reducing duration rather than lengthening it. Most of my focus has been on increasing AoE size.
Have u seen the helmet that gives u a percentage of your ho as energy shield and lets a percentage of damage bypass it? I think it could be a good option for this build sonce it gives time to recoup whith the energy shield
Playing Chrono as ES with 7.7k ES, it feels chonky, but i have to invest in faster start of es recharge but even then I get swarmed by stuff like breach. How is breach? Do you get ones hit by anything?
yeah ES is definitely just weaker against monster density if you're being hit continuously, but you can definitely stack it pretty high right now. I can get one shot but it's uncommon, physical damage aura rares are generally the biggest threat right now but this setup doesn't mind being swarmed in breach/ritual - as long as I can fight back at least lol
@Bradbradhehe I saved up all weekend to buy the amulet that enabled cast on minion death and my PC can't handle it. Back to trying something else now lol
I think its a really cool build but when you have block you shouldn’t invest into armour since you need A LOT of armour for it to actually do something on bigger hits so i would go all in ES instead. Other than that, its great!
you're right, it's especially hard to get a significant amount of armour on the armour/es bases too. I could swap to pure ES on my gear and use grim feast like most are doing. Thanks for the advice :)
we will have a lot more toys to play with as more weapon types are added that's for sure :) you're right about melee, I "want" to get hit for my recoup so it's a weird playstyle
dont need the block nodes. your small hit mitigation is completely solved from this recoup, now you just need large hit mitigation. chaos damage and physical damage are currently the hardest two things to mitigate in the game. sadly i cant recommend armor though. your skill tree is calculated AFTER GEAR now. its why everlasting gaze amulet still gives es when you have eldritch battery, ghostwrithe still works with ci, ect. this means the % increased lightning damage you are grabbing on the tree does nothing for your already cold converted spark, but it will still increase archmage damage, because archmage damage doesnt get converted. please correct any of that info if im wrong, but ive done a lot of research on how things are calculated compared from poe1 to poe2 and this appears to be the way.
@@Miss_Willow for the lightning damage nodes I was going off of skills tab dps tooltip, that's probably why it still went up if it's only applying to archmage. Makes sense to me

Was going to comment this as well. They’re dead nodes as the conversion to ice happens first. So none of the lightning buffs go into effect

nice creative build but I take physical damage from monster 3000+ per hit LoL
If you're converting all your lightning to cold, doesn't that make all your investment into lightning on the tree useless due to how conversion works?

Cool build! Im only lv 50ish. Do you think i would have enough skill points to make this build work? If not what min level do you rec. Thanks!
I've changed very little except my main clear skill all the way through, for lower levels I used frostbolt + cold snap for damage
