Also, the blue campervan conversion @8:37 has some VERY interesting reclining and split rear passenger seats I have not seen before!!!- could you take a closer look at them in a future vid Alan. They look like an excellent idea as I have always thought those rear seats were too upright and uncomfortable...until now! I think Globe Traveller (Poland) displayed these a while back and said they would be offering them in the future. I think it's a brilliant idea and the best innovation we have seen in Euro campervans in 2019!
On my Sprinter conversion we have spent a lot of time on this subject. I don't want to waste space but appreciate that a recliner is better. As I sit cross legged, rather than with my feet on the floor, I need a longer seat and maybe there is room there to play around with something.
@@VanlifewithAlan the upright rear seats on a lot of campers have always bothered me- I'm quite tall and slouch and need good lumbar support. Noticed a few companies have adjusting rear seats now too- just saw one on the 2020 La Strada Avanti H model (6 meter van).
I did compare the 2019th models of the malibu van 540 and this boxstar during my last days before making a final decision of purchase and what I felt enormous was a big difference in the sense of space in the 2 cars. The malibu van has a lot more sense of space and the feeling is a lot better inside, than it is in this van - also the quality of the furniture seemed better to me - I strongly recommend to compare to viewers who plan to purchase... Price is nearly the same!
The big problem with the amazing Knaus shower door is that no one can use the bathroom without blocking the passageway. The Globecar method is better as you can use the bathroom as usual and also expand for the shower. Also - where does that duckboard live during the shower?
Also the Knaus/Weinsberg dinette is a little squashed, narrow table, bolt upright seats that are narrow, even when pulled out. It's difficult in 5.4m to fit stuff in but I don't think they got it quite right here.
Where the duckboard goes in any van is a bit of a problem. I always leave mine outside the shower when I am getting washed and put it back once the inside is dry or I need to use the toilet or sink!
@@VanlifewithAlan I'm thinking of adding some little wooden rotatable 'claws' on the wall so i can pop it low on the bathroom wall outside of the shower curtain when in use!
Love to hear your thoughts on the tall Weinsberg CB 600 if you get an opportunity to drive it Alan and hear how stable it is, or is not, in strong crosswinds.
I started filming it but did not finish. I did not drive it as I left the open day in a huff when I got a parking ticket which Knaus insisted I pay for despite having done exactly what I got in writing from them. I am thinking of doing a video on the subject to ask others what they think. So no driving test on the tall van!
I wonder why it is just one company I am doing it for too ...... I think I shall do a video on why and explain all. I am thinking of boycotting Knaus for one year too but I shall let the viewers decide!

I also think about malibu 540.

@@VanlifewithAlan Sorry to hear that's very disappointing to hear about the ticket!
Nice 👍👍
Sehr schön!
Clever use of limited space.

That disclaimer. Has someone come complaining to you for a regretted purchase?
That's what I've been wandering, sounds like a good story. Spill the beans Alan please 😉
