I thought our circle was broken when Daniel died Chrissy and I never thought you would meet up with him again so soon after he passed. As we watched your rise from cook to conqueror we always loved the fact that we, two schmoe like musicians at the time got to see the embryo that was you. After you left the job and went out being Chris Cornell you always brought in your latest musical gift for Wayne but always caught up with us as well. My heart breaks given the fact that both you and Daniel left on your own accord but even tho I know Daniel definitely did I can't allow myself to believe that you wanted to go. One other thing. It is really hard to write a song for someone who already wrote the perfect song himself. I doubt anyone from Rays will see this but that was a magical time until the fire kind threw us all off track even tho many of us returned after the rebuild but if you were there in 1985 and on for a few years it was the birth of a Voice and Presence . Not our fault Christ C sounds like Chrissy .. Psss. I think it was the hair.
You were and will always be an inspiration to musicians and fans. Your voice will be the gold standard for vocalists. Your lyrics are an ointment for the human soul. R.I.P. and God Bless Chris Cornell! Thanks brother for all you did.
I saw one of his last concerts (Omaha-Council Bluffs). I still cry. His death stopped me from my own suicide. I realized how much I meant to others. I love you Chris and you are alive in my heart.
