@@Dany0926 Rudy said that the women in the movie wasn't to represent "a love triangle" or his real life love interests but more to showcase the turns his life could've had taken. Basically he used the women in the movie to show those different paths.

@faithess933 not really. Actually, it was about being a good girlfriend. Of course moms are moms, but she did not oppose to having a non Brazilian gf. But yeah being Brazilian helps. Although she also doesn't want to a Brazilian gf who is mean or bad to him, it's about the person:)

For sure! That movie is brilliant, one of my favourites. But maybe this one has showcased more clearly the technicalities of sinestesia to the audience.
No one said he was trying to do something unprecedented, he's an artist creating a film about his own lived experience, and he did a brilliant job.
He has synesthesia in real life. So it's about his life growing up with it. 90% of the movie is true. I can vouch for that.
