When do you remove the scion tape (that you first prepared on the scion)? NOT the tape on the graft... the tape on the scion. Remove after winter before spring before growth?
I've grown a few nectarines from seed (supermarket fruit) they haven't fruited and I know it would take a few years as they are still young, but if they turn out to not be fruiting could I graft onto them so they would fruit eventually?
I want to graft a peach tree onto my apple tree so it's winter but I also have to prune my apple tree so I didn't know if I needed to keep it's leaves or not cause it still has some leaves on it
You cut the stock by tapping the knife with a rubber mallet, never with your hand underneath. You never cut the cutting toward your chest or other arm.
the tutorial is very good, it adds knowledge for me

Yup! If they fail to produce good fruit like you are, you can always use it as a rootstock and graft desirable wood to them!
@@XaViEr3520 Thank you.

Thank you.
Hi, what other fruits can be grafted onto a peach rootstock
peachnecprunplumcotcheralm
stone fruit to stone fruit (peaches, nectarine, apricot, plum, cherry, almond) there are some minor incompatibility. look up the tree of 40 fruits
Can you do it in the spring?
Yes. It is best early in the spring before new growth kicks off.
What kind of tape is that? It looks stretchy and adheres 🤔
Buddy tape or parafilm
