SUCH a big help man. Haven't updated windows 11 since Feb, never wanted to do a full wipe. 2Tb worth of games to reinstall i just didn't have the time to.

Just in case u have my issue, all this is correct, but check on services if the thing your trying to change is linked to wuauserv because mine wasn’t. When u click on the service your trying to alter it should say the file near the top. If it isn’t find that file and do the same thing in the permissions

I managed to fix it by changing the services ownership, but even after that my windows did not update. I had to repair it using a bootable usb drive.
