My fav thing abt fo4 is just having fun in workshop. I mean I like the rest of the game enough to keep playing over the years but workshop is probably my favorite part of the game. This is such a cool build, thanks for sharing!
TH-cam Shorts of the build would be cool man. Feel like the Fallout Settlement Building TH-cam community would benefit massively from using TH-cam Shorts to advertise their build videos
I'm totally down. Couple problems, I have no idea how to do shorts/ tik tok and I barely manage to get these videos out as it is lol. Definitely something I want to look into though.
Wonderful news indeed, Mr. Jabber! Many thanks for the update, and I will indeed be staying tuned, with great anticipation; and a Happy Fourth to you! Cheers!
That's a great setup! I have tried various times to create something like that, but usually it gets away on me and ends up as something else entirely. Those bus shells (along with the large trailers) are so much fun to build with because you have to be mindful of the space restrictions and therefore creative with storage etc. I love the idea of the mattress on the boards propped up like that! I have never thought of doing that and often settle for a military wall cot (from G2M or similar). Speaking of space, I am amazed that you got that couch in there! I would have assumed that it would have been far too big to use in such a cramped space, even with a little bit of merging to allow more room. 🤔 Overall a really wonderful build!
@@JabberGames That makes that couch fitting even more impressive. Personally the first thing I would likely have tried would have been to try scaling it to get it to fit. 🤔
@@JabberGames I think you can get away with scaling down to about 80% before it starts to seriously impact any functionality of the item. Conversely you can scale up to about 120%-ish before the same issues arise. I scaled up a bookshelf secret door in Taffington recently to about 120-ish and it was still functional. But these are guesses at best. Of course the fact that you have that couch in a confined space may or may not complicate matters. Be worth experimenting with actually. 🤔
@@dwarf_nz483 good to know. If this home still existed (updated deleted it) I would have used it for my character. I can't imagine what disaster this'll be if settlers were living in it lol.
Greetings, Mr. Jabber! I am delighted to see another remarkable example of an exceedingly clever use of space. Even the pets approve, obviously! This entire build IS a man cave, and again, I'm envious. Hmm, I didn't notice a privy...did I miss something? Oh, never mind, I get it; there are ample facilities inside the school building, provided one doesn't mind chewing through all the raiders...😅 Cheers!
Thank you very much. Your eagle eyes do not deceive you! Definitely some areas that could be improved but unfortunately I lost this settlement because of the next gen update. I'll have to do another.
Thank you. Just takes practice honestly. My settlements were super boring when I first got into it. Just browsing other builds and stuff and just playing with the game mechanics opens up new things to do!
Great work with the build and video. Personally I would find a way to have everything fenced in, without having to leave one area in order to get to the plants, water and generator. Also board up the fence so no one can see me moving around or shoot me.
Thank you! 100% with you there. I wanted to do access from the back where the power generator was so that I could leave walking access at the front. I might have to redo. My steam automatically did the next gen update and I lost this entire build...all my other settlements seem okay except this one for some reason lol.
@@JabberGames ooof, that sucks, there's a way to set it so updates only happen if you launch the game with the regular launcher, but if you use the script extender launcher which you most likely are, then it wont update. Im staying away from the update for a good long while until the wrinkles get sorted out lol.
@@macronomicus yeah i wanted to avoid it but it did it automatically. I did the revert to older version mod and it worked great for most of the game but for some reason only this build got wiped out???
@@JabberGames Its just one of those things with modding, you'll invariably lose things along the way, at least you didnt lose all of them, & with this you were able to capture it in video form, so its immortalized now. RIP 😆
OMGaloshes, Mr. Jabber, so sorry to hear of your loss! It sounds like more than just your purified water went missing 😢. Please accept my most sincere condolences! I do hope that you will be able to get the update mayhem sorted soon! Are the cat and dog OK, or did they get disappeared as well? I am eagerly looking forward to viewing more of your excellent work. Best wishes. :)
Ok I have to try the conquest mod, it seems to fun to build & tinker anywhere, I had avoided it since its not been updated in so long & there were bug reports, but ive seen so many using it without troubles, must be a solid mod.
It is a little buggy but one of the better ones... Try this one too. It adds a bunch of new settlement locations and the build areas in some places are huge so you can do tonnes of these little homes. www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/34423
@@JabberGames Thats looks sweet, i'd not seen that yet, I will give that a whirl, ive been testing the build-high mod recently, it makes the settlements gigantic & tall with no precombines in its cell, its been fun to use so far with no issues.
I wish they had this in the base game. Would be so cool if you could make a certain amount of settlements in locations of your choosing. Similar to fallout 76. Is this mod on xbox? Also, using the window for the stove is so clever. Thats a really good touch
Yeah I guess they have to limit the amount because of cross platform stuff. But playing on PC does really open the whole world up. I use a bunch of mods and usually post them in the video description. I play exclusively on PC so I'm not sure which mods cross over to Xbox sorry 😔
How do you get the materials to a custom settlement? Is there a mod to add it to your supply chain? or do you just carry your supplies there? Or use god mode?

very nice serie. next to the south Boston military checkpoint, there is a rv house on the highway, you could do a similar build there.

Can you use one of those buses in the vanilla game currently playing survival mode surprised to find out it's not the same as if you're online update

God mode! My material usage is insatiable... I literally need to be a God in-game to satisfy my building requirements.
