Sorry, I'm a little bit confused about the third conditional. Isn't it linked to a past perfect in most cases, although there might me mixed condiationals?: " If I had studied harder, I would have gone to a better university", referring to a past event that cannot be influenced anymore? Isn't the simple past generally used in the second conditional when it comes to unreal conditions? : "If I studied harder, I would get better marks" or "If I won the lottery, I would buy a new car". That's at least what I leant when studying English at University for five years.

At the end : if you are stood !? I thought it was : if you are standing in front of a supermarket. I'm realizing I never use stood as a past participle !

We always confuse with "used to", "be used to", and "get used to". Could you give us more detailed explanations?
