Thanks for the likesfolks. Two decades ago (prefamily) I went to Jamaica with my friend. We met a worker at the hotel named Washington. Wash. turned out to me a wonderful person. He took us to his village and house. His mom made something to eat for us & washed their clothes under the house (built on a hill). The whole village was a 1 street neighborhood. They all worked together and provided running water for every house.. essentially pvc pipe on top the ground. We had a beer in a tool shed size bar... and many villagers stopped by to say hello. Thank you Washington for the experience Wherever you are today!!
Walked down steps, bunch of kids playing basketball, bought some beer had some laughs, walked back up stairs a bunch of kids playing and laughing, kept walking and passed a man working on a home, kept walking a full fledged baseball game in progress. This is a lively place. It’s almost like an oil painting coming to life with the vibrant colors.

They spoke more broken English than I spoke of their languages. All I did was show an interest in how THEY live and a willingness to follow their customs. The people I met shared what they had with me, were very welcoming, and accepted me because I accepted them as they are and where they are. Very few American non-Muslims were welcomed as dinner guests into Muslim homes. I was and even asked to stay in Saudi Arabia and work there. Very few Americans were were invited to sit down with Bedouins in the desert for lamb, flat bread, herbs, and hot tea. I was. Moreover, I was invited into the homes of Korean and Japanese families to dine with them. People appreciate foreigners who demonstrate an appreciation for them.

@@MotoGearSolid I don't care who, but throughout a person's life, EVERYONE HAS THEIR CROSS TO BEAR IN LIFE at one time or another. Kurt has bouts of depression, and that is not unusual. It's what he does to get/stay out of those bouts that counts. At present I am dealing with both my parents being ill (my mom has very late-stage Alzheimer's; dad is in remission from lung cancer), and I tend to both of them daily, in addition to balancing my work, and having to live my own life (it is NOT easy, to be sure). Over the years I have had to consistently fight against depression setting it, and in doing so I have found ways to not only keep depression from setting in, but simultaneously uplifting my mood. Just simple things like taking a 15-20 minute "sun bath" (VERY good for vitamin D and creating endorphins/mood enhancers), and getting some cardio in helps a LOT. Just those 2 things can make a huge difference, and they have helped me tremendously. Hopefully Kurt discovers little "tricks" to help him with his depression, as he seems like a good guy.

While on active duty, I made fantastic friends in Saudi Arabia, Korea, and Japan without speaking more than a dozen words of their language.

It gets a bad rep, but I love living here. The people are so authentic and you can't beat the food!!
That is true
Anything beats british food lol
@Jacob Harris continue living your best life.
The world is a classroom.
Home is where the heart 💖 is
Bless up
That's not bad. Less Instagram and TikTok.
In my case TH-cam. 🤫
@@nelgster You're lucky mate!
Damn. Makes me wanna visit Venezuela, they seem like such nice people. Taking you in, showing you their community and feeding you good food. There’s good people out there in the world.
Sure does because Venezuelan people are the angels in there country and so nice and kind and compassionate to everyone and the girls over in Venezuela are cute and friendly to and people will fit in over in Venezuela because my Ex Girlfriend was Venezuelan and boy she was really friendly and couldn't get away from me so everyone out there watch out for the Venezuelan girls over in Venezuela!
That family is pulling out all they have to see you marry their daughter. She’s an angel and her family are wonderful.
Not really bruh that’s just how Latinos are with their guests lol
Pretty sure they are no longer together anyway lol

even poverty stricken, this place looks way more lively and fun. Filled with laughs and love. Looks like a lovely place to be
I have been watching Kurt for while now. But this video gave me a higher level of respect for him. They way he gets somewhere and it’s immediately fits in it’s like a superpower. He is blessed and we are too. As we get to follow his adventures on TH-cam. Awesome. 🙌🏻
just recently been binging your videos. Got to say they are so refreshing, seeing travel content that isn't all "all inclusive" and expensive is great. Keep up the good work and stay safe big man.
This makes me so happy. Proud of being Venezuelan ❤🇻🇪
Entonces hable español

eres tu en el video? la mujer?
Is that you in the video?
I am from Afghanistan, I really like this kind of houses and life. I don't enjoy advanced countries and tall buildings. I am not a traveler, but I prefer to see this country in the future😍
Pretty cool to see people living their lives and seemingly happy. What a look into a world that would otherwise be impossible. Gracias 🙏
Tränen kommen aus meinen Augen raus. Ich bin Hälfte Spanien und Venezolano. Bin in Deutschland für ein besseres Zukunft zu haben und dieses Video... Hat mich so viele Erinnerungen zurück gebracht. Viel Erfolg Kurt.
dir viel glück in deutschland amigo
Her father likes you and that’s huge. Venezuelans are great and beautiful people. I’m thinking about traveling there real soon.
I know they have experienced great difficulties and tragedy in the past but this really seems like a nice way to live. Everyone is together and life seems happy.
If we all lived in smaller communities only using trade or just simply little amounts of money we definitely all learn to be happier with family & beautiful scenery
@@jasonlow5069 You're absolutely right Jason people chase college degrees and career positions for simple joys like that which they perceive as only coming through status. Of course, living in Modern America I'm the former.
Theres so much truth to this it hurts!! I got seriously depressed when I came home from a long stay in Mexico, which is crazy because the quality of living is night and day...our showers and homes are way nicer, our cars, litterally everything is nicer and still I was depressed to come home.
Americans trade nice stuff, fancy houses and cars, for community and fellowship, and we don't even know why we're miserable. Sucks!!
