When you think about the plasma membrane being a "barrier" to entry, it is the nonpolar region of the membrane (the tails of the phospholipids) that is the main component blocking substances from moving through. Because steroid molecules are vastly nonpolar they have the ability to mesh with the nonpolar tails, allowing them to move through when other polar substances cannot.
Sooo much chemistry damn this chapter hard
Yep, quite a few sections like that
Great work!! Appreciating these videos, shuch a life-saver!
Ur a lifesaver
just trying to be a grade-saver :D
@@Elec2ricLearning When is B3.1 coming? :)

That's the plan!
@@Elec2ricLearning i hope your making one as i speak
Why are the steroids able to pass through the phospholipid bilayer if they are hydrophobic? Wouldn't it repel from the Polar heads?

Thanks for watching 😁
thank you!!!💝💝💝
🤘
Thank. You.
do I need to know how to draw the structure?
I would say you need to know how to recognize the structures if asked about them and given images. Probably not so much drawing them from scratch.
thank you!!!!
and also, can u share answers for activities?
You are welcome! I have the answers available to channel members, you can find the B1.1 video here th-cam.com/video/eNG5Bzl0UfE/w-d-xo.html
thank you very much
