Drongo needed a better food transition and then print horsemen to run through their base and take out their traders. Trade is meta in 2v2 at castle age and beyond - especially when the map gets closed off with walls like that.

otto during the matchmaking screen means if you don't pressure feudal, you lose. otto's are basically the easiest to squeeze in the early game, but if you don't you are massively punished. in our team games, it's literally the french and english players pressuring the otto right from the start to prevent GBs from ending the whole game
Absolutely they have. Especially in a 4v4. I always rush the ottoman player in those. I played a game where an ottoman player single handed took out 2 of my teammates alone with no help from anyone. We had taken out 1 side with 2 players and he alone fought off 2 of my mates. Who thought giving bombards more range then a spriglad was a good idea? And with the janisaru there it can just keep repairing it. What does it take like 8-10 to one shot a bombard from a springald?
There was no pressure in early game, you cannot blame the bombards later on, its like a gold level play here... You could push ottoman in early game easy, jeez Drongo, you thought me that! 😂
Abassids can beat them in 4v4 turtle maps. Rush imperial/trade boom gives a constant supply of wood/gold to mass culverins/ghulams/mangos. Culverins have no setup time so can you can kite the GBs
I have About 3000 Hours Playtime in aoe4. However i stopped playing teamgames Since Ottoman are so op in Team Games. And i stopped playing Solo too. Playing Crusaders Kings Atm. But i will be back soon. Reach Conq 3 this season and get into a casted game From you. Thats my goal. Get in top 100 and get casted 1 Time By you
same, recently just stopped, its kinda ruined the game for me and discouraged me some. Feel like they should have already done another atleast small patch to fix this gamebreaking bs

Yes they have! I just had a 4v4 with 3 ottomans on the opposing team and you can't beat those bombards. They are to cheap to field. Give them a 20% up charge
It only really makes sense for the Chinese civ and it's variant. If you drop off resources at a mill/mining camp/lumber camp, it can be supervised for extra res, and you can collect gold tax. If the tc is placed on those resources, there's a chance the villagers drop off there instead, which you don't want to happen.

GBB are actually not that good. especially the way that guy was microing them. culverins are just better springs. though to be fair, OG china is weak against GBB ottoman. but that wasnt your problem. your problem was mass spear into late imp... or mass spears in general. a small amount of spears to brace against charge, 10-20 MAX, then 20-40 chuke nukes to stop ground from rushing your springs, then springs to zone the bombards. then nests or your own bombards to wittle the army down, kiting just out of bombard range. dude wasnt even using GBB well at all...
1 granary with 2 layers of farms is SO bad. you could have had 2/3rd the villagers on food with more food income, leaving more villagers for gold and wood. also, team games you MUST trade or do a timing rush to end them in feudal or castle.
Ottomans are totally broken. You can't take the bombards with neither springalds nor culverins. The bombards are just much stronger 1v1. But they Are not even anti arty. They destroy both infantry and the buldings. You can't outflank and Rush them with cav, the jannissaries absolutely destroy cavalry. When you finally manage to somehow put a dent in them, they just repair it. Did I mention they get their units for free?
not to mention the cav is way too slow to flank them unless using attack move, and you cant use attack move to flank lol shits ridiculous. Dont understand the unit movement on this game sometimes in general.
Drongo please scan the full map at the end of the game and show the base layouts and trade of the opponents.

I got hit with Ottoman bombards yesterday but pulled through with mass crossbow

one big reason is probably just to try to protect them, especially if their main focus for the 2nd TC is just purely extra vil production

there is no excuse for not trading in team games. you get to choose your trade route since you can trade with your ally.
