What you are saying is like someone very unfamiliar with the American music saying that the US is only focused on Ariana Grande and Justin Bieber. You know there are so many more artists and genres in the States that many people enjoy. Those singers are famous, and they do just fine in Korea. could they do better? Sure. But many are easily more recognizable and FAR more respected than the very best in Kpop. The only difference is they aren't backed up by huge corporations whose main goal is to sell as much merchandise as possible, which would mean they need to appeal to foreign fans. "Idols" and "Artists" are very well defined and distinguished. Idols are long invested products companies churn out, meant to appeal to the masses, visual appeal being THE priority. In a country that has a clear preference for the "artists" for music, Kpop has to expand out of the saturated market to gain fans like you. There are some groups that prioritize international fans and market that most Koreans may never have, and never will hear of. This last part is my opinion but the peak of Kpop INSIDE the country has long passed when Super Junior, Wondergirls, and early SNSD existed. Ever since then, Kpop grew internationally but their share domestically probably hasn't made big steps compared to the rest of the music industry especially when it comes to recognition.
there is a difference. An artist like SoHyang doesn't need all the pushing from big corporations to hit all star fame. Unlike mediocre performers in the US and around the world which need auto tune for live performances and are only interested in selling sex to the people. So Hyang has no rival and every major company would do anything to get her contract but she sings only for GOD. That is the difference between this agents of Darkness that the world worships as opposed to the Light that So Hyang has brought to Korea and by extension the rest of the world. She is truly in a league of her own and has absolutely no Rival!
This is totally not true. Foreigners are the ones who obsessed with idol music. Not Koreans. If you look at the music charts of Korea, there are much more real solo artists than idols. And they are also Kpop. Kpop doesn't mean only idol music.
I absolutely LOVE Sohyang. Her voice has such power and control. Her high chest notes are out of this world! I really loved her rendition of this song. It was incredible and beautiful. Loved you reaction too! 💕
That kind of stamina is legendary! Some of these young girls today couldn't even make it to the Dream chorus much less slay both of these songs back-to-back.

Crazy talented. I think she is so similar to Bey, especially in regards to technique and the resonance of her voice. But obviously as So Hyang is a natural soprano, she has more ease on her upper belts, and Bey has much better lows .
