Baseball bat has to be to go to in terms of balancing realistically having it available while still dealing a lot of damage. You can put a ferocious swing on a small bat without needing much room
Modern times say the bat-ton is what’s going on. One arm and any slim light pole is dope. Also knowing wrist control makes a bat/bat-ton in any space the best or worst thing you can have. The gun is and will be the best realistic option in any situation,(even if it means sacrificing your ears)
I have a Gerber machete, with a saw side and a blade side that's nearly razor sharp. I would feel bad for the 'average' person trying to attack with anything other than a firearm or spear.

I wouldn't want to face a decent lacrosse player with a pool stick. Lax stick handling translates really well to self defense with a pole of any kind, especially when one end is weighted.
you want something that even if they block it still does damage. but if you cant fight without a weapon you shouldnt think that you will suddenly be able to fight with a weapon. go train and learn how to fight then add weapons once you can already strike and grapple

A good beefy lacrosse stick. Not a d pole because they might be able to grab that but I mean, if u crosscheck someone in the face 1 or 2 times they ussually go down and it is a titanium stick. Stick checks to the arms can hurt like hell if u get a good swing. I couldn't imagine getting beat repeatedly by one on say my forearms. Like u get hit and u can't move that limb at all for minutes. Like if u slap check a guy in the face I don't think he will want to fight after that

How has nobody said baseball bat?? An aluminum one is super light, small even for hallways, and it’s weighted so can be used in a variety of ways. It’s also a damn bat so it’s simple to have anywhere in your house

Hammer has way more leverage and a smaller, denser point of impact. One good swing with a heavy ballpeen and you're fracturing the skull for sure.
