- Woo Woo! Sugar Mountain Bike Park is finally open and we all had a blast! We ended up having around 10 people show up of all skill levels but everyone made it through the day relatively unscathed! It was Drakes first time at Sugar Mountain as well as Shannon. It was also Shannons second ride on his new TR11 Downhill bike that he got from The Cycle path about a month ago. I hit the ground and ended up getting a nasty Charlie horse on my leg and a jammed finger but all good for the most part. My new DH bike is running absolutely mint except for the old derailleur thats on there. The thing makes it sound like a bucket of bolts despite being brand new. Also got to coach up a young ripper at the end of the day! Charlie is gonna be so good once he gets more time on the bike but cleaning a very hard trail on a small bike like his is impressive! Please let me know if you would be interested in a MTB NC Jersey and be sure to like, comment, and subscribe as well!

Sickest trail I’ve seen you do. Awesome job
love your videos
Just subbed. Been thinking about getting into trail riding myself. Great video.
I'm with the guy who didn't like the height on the lift . Way back in the last century, I got stuck on a lift while skiing for something like a half hour. And it was cold and windy up there. At the highest point you could be at also. When it finally moved, I raised holy he'll. They ended up giving me a free lift ticket and a weekday stay at their hotel. Didn't matter, that was the last time I skied downhill
looks like they've done a little work since Memorial Day- thankfully.
Lmao that section you got stuck is probably the highest lift I've ever been on, not fun
I wanna be jeff when i grow up
Do you need a downhill bike for sugar?
Definitely not. I’d say sugar is more fun on an enduro bike
Is that your own DH bike?
Yes, just put it together and found some things I had to dial in during this first ride. I’m assuming you’re asking because of all the horrible noises it’s making 😂 Rear brake pads are the notorious finned Saint pads that rattle your teeth out. That’s what is making all that racket. Headset cups were also slightly loose as you need to torque the headset more with the offset cups than you do on a normal headset. Other than that, phenomenal riding bike.
@@CarolinaMTB I noticed the Cycle Path sticker. I assumed the noise is just what Sugar sounds like with all those rocks. What brand/model bike is it?
It’s a Santa Cruz v10. Sugar is noisy but not that noisy hahaha
@@CarolinaMTB The Hub had a red V10 sitting in their showroom for a bit the past few months.
