    CRH 1A is for medium range, and CRH 2 is a version of the slowest high-speed train. And CRH 1A is actually a high-speed train it is just a train to run in through two cities.

      @drumnotatsujin81 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ross Lai Hm? CRH1A runs long range as well like D2244 from Chengdu to Fuzhou.

    Love the touch with the speakers about next stop etc. Exactly as it was when I was taking the train from Hong Kong airport into the city.

    Should've ended this video with a high-speed derailment, because secretly that's what everyone wants to see.

    I think the reason for the elevated tracks is that they can mass fabricate sections of the track and move them into place with help of special machinery. It must work out to be faster and/or cheaper than adjusting the track to terrain (plus trains can go faster on flat and straight sections)

    In California we have Cal train as a public transit, which uses old decommissions diesel electrics for the engines and sketchy 2 story high passenger cars, and they don't do any of that slowing down early stuff like in this video. its basically full throttle or full brake.

    Pretty sure you were supposed to "park" the train in a siding or something... (Chongqing North 17) It actually displayed it as the next Objective down in the F3 HUD.
    Only because the F1 Taskviewer doesn't show anymore tasks to do, that does not mean there aren't any further tasks defined in the scenario, as the editor gives you the option to hide any task from the task viewer. The option is there so you don't have to clutter it too much with tons of "go via.... waypoints" etc. in more complex scenarios. In this case I don't really see why they would hide the last task, but it seems they did...

    • @Vlaxie
      @Vlaxie 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ohh thanks for pointing that out, I had no idea why the scenario wouldn't end. Turns out if you press F1 and look around you can actually see the arrow pointing to Chongqing North 17, but it's not on the task list. You have to pull forward and then reverse into the upper track and it will guide you into 17 and the scenario will end.

    I'm quite new to the Simulator game scene and I can't believe i've already spent several hours watching videos of you driving public transport.. these games are oddly satisfying. The closest thing to a simulator i've played before is a game called Viscera Cleanup Detail, it's basically a janitor simulator

    I think our government bought the technologies of several foreign trains at the same time and therefore although they are named after CRH1 2 or 3 and so on, it's not like the ones with the larger number come with more advanced technologies and stuff.. But the ones with our own further development certainly are, such as the CRH380 series...

    I love traveling in these. They're spacious, quiet (well, except for the people ^.^) and the seats get turned around at a terminus so you never sit the "wrong" way (unlike the ICE here in Germany).

    Regarding the comment at around 28 minutes about what passengers would prefer, I do tend to say things like that about buses in my city. We have a few different models, and most of them are alright, but some days, I have stronger preferences, and may even plan my route according to what bus model is on a certain route.

    I have to ask Paul, why do you keep saying that the perfect place for the train to stop is at the very end (Last carriage just on platform)? That's just not true. The best spot for a train to stop is as close to the entrance/exit of the platform as possible. You've got platforms with the entrance on the near end, so then you'd indeed stop like you do, but when the entrance is on the far end, you'd go as far as possible.
