Mr.Paul ..Simple box spreader, good idea but An agar attachment just before the auger can save time and speed the work.. Power can be had from.pto vai hydraulic pump same hydraulic power you are using for tipping cylinder ....
Baldev Singh very true ... but it’s simplicity is what makes it so handy , could put hydraulic this that and the other on it and make it work like a paver but not a paver , it works just fine and since been adapted to be pulled and filled by a 4ton digger .. any truck , dumper or trailer can pull it without any adaptation..
Cool, I built one for myself some years back based on an old British design Its 8' square with a central blade and it can be adjusted out to 9'. Runs off chains.
Mr Big .. at that time , the two arms pulling the box were very long , by chaining the tail door it would have thrown the stone forward even more missing the box completely plus , box kinda needs to be heavy to stop it rising as it’s pulled , ..
@@Iowagrown123.. good operator ? .. I’ve seen lots of, but god operator cannot predict consistency, rate of flow and speed , moisture content, .. the only part that’s consistent is gravity .. tailgate spreading is fine when followed by a grader or forestry roads , but not for finishing prep ..
Donny Sierra .. hi .. it’s pulled by two solid arms (length determined by tipping radius) two pins to a bracket fabricated on back of truck , it can be adjusted to 8” maybe a little more to either side .
Hi .. yes I own it , I imported it from US a years ago .... it’s a great piece of kit .. will spread 20 ton in 10 / 15 mins with practice and confidence.. depth from 1.5 inch to 6 or 8 inches no issue
Ran one of those for a couple of summers back in the 70's! Makes me feel old! Oh wait, I am old!
Plenty of job satisfaction there! 👌
That is one sweet spreader!

I'm sure if you went to this measure that you had a smooth barrel roller nearby?
This certainly does an outstanding job.
Where in the us did you order it I like one I tried to use a box scraper but still has issues
is that like a layton pull box?

Where i see it ? Have some vídeo pra link ?
It's an 804 foundation material yes it's rolled and surfaced with two layers of tar and chipping after.....
What is the make and model of that spreader box ..I cant seem to find one like that anywhere on the web...
Michael Garcia hi .. it’s manufactured by J-pyott associates.. in the US .. I imported direct from them , a gentleman to deal with and very helpful...
Can i have the details, ie. dimensions of this spreader? Many thanks in advance!
Why doesn’t he hook the tailgate chains to the truck bed to control the flow! I made my box similar to that and I don’t do hardly any shoveling!
Mr Big .. at that time , the two arms pulling the box were very long , by chaining the tail door it would have thrown the stone forward even more missing the box completely plus , box kinda needs to be heavy to stop it rising as it’s pulled , ..
A good operator should be able to set the chains and get the right speed up to tailgate spread, without need for the spreader?

How do you hook the box to the truck? And say one side of the road is higher does the box adjust ? or can you adjust the box?

Отстойная тема. В штатах куда веселее делают такую работу и никакой канители с лопатой.
