Thank you for the thorough explanation. But one suggestion: in the examples, use something that is less esoteric and specialized. All through the explanation, I was bending my mind about how silk connects to a coach and so on. I had to wait until I saw the visual result you were getting at, to then guess the meaning and THEN go back again to actually get a grasp of what is going on :)
It seems that the attribute table takes the first instance spelling of the parent item "Contorstion" rather than the later spelling "Contortion", so does this mean it's not dynamic?
Even though I didn't know anything about the content - this was the best description of Attributes and Attribute Tables I have ever heard! You are amazing! I totally understand now and followed along. I love that you used something that related to yoou so we could see and understand the examples you gave - it made everything so crystal clear and easy to understand!!
I discovered the double colon by mistake but I didn't realize these were pages! Thanks for explaining this. I will use these to do my weekly plan and create a table to show all weeks in one place, if that is possible.
It works!! I can create weekly plans on separate pages (example: [[Week 47, 2021]] page with attributes tracking what I plan to do in various areas. Then I do an attribute table {{atto-table: [[week attribute]]}} in a completely different page and it compiles it in the same table! Brilliant! Like queries but better for metadata!
The best explanation for Attributes in a clear and concise fashion! You have a talent for explaining stuff. Thanks!

Clear explanation. Clear examples. Would love to try circus illustrations but prefer to survive. Thanks!
