This Mantra called Maha Mantra has proved to be a powerful instrument to tune to divine consciousness which is also called 'Krishna Consciousness'. It has been sung in innumerable ways by Saints, singers as well as common people for thousands of years. This particular tune is one of my favourite and somehow reflects the pain of separation of a true devotee from his beloved Lord Krishna. It was in Vrindavan at the banks of river Yamuna that I heard it for the first time. I relive those blissful moments whenever I sing it.
I have used C drone here, but one can shift the notations to G, A or B ( of lower octave on left) depending on your voice range. Keherwa taal loops have been used as accompaniment at about 120 beats/ minute.
