I think this was a really good video for those who are going to enter RT school. I am currently in my second year of RT school and one thing my program has included that you didn't mention and I would NOT recommend people try to understand prior to learning it in the RT program is PFT. Our program has spend two semesters and going into the second year are constantly looking at PFT's (Pulmonary Function Tests). It is a very statistical and difficult subject however they told us that it is now showing up on the licensing exams and you have to know how to read them. On every exam we take there is a PFT chart that we have to use to diagnose COPD or restrictive diseases. Another difficult subject was reading a CPET cardiopulmonary exercise test during our pulmonary rehab class.
Erin congratulations! I want to thank you for videos. I’m currently taking College Algebra, I’m glad to hear that the equations may not be that complicated. I can’t wait to start my program, I’m in my last two pre-requisites which are A&P and general psychology 😅 I find your videos so hopeful and informative.
Just finding your channel. I’m also starting next month and I’m excited but feeling like I’m about to be hit by a truck lol. I think I’ve just been watching so much RT stuff on TH-cam this summer that it backfired a bit. But I know if I keep school a priority I can do well..just not sure how all this will fit in my brain! Did you mostly use flash cards, notes and reading the book for studying? Any other tips or tricks for learning?

I am horrible at math. I am struggling with basic algebra but I want to become a respiratory therapist so badly! 😓
