A beautiful song written by Dermot O'Reilly mid 70's This chune has become a favorite while sitting around the christmas tree or on a cold winter day when the snow falls.
It reminds me of christmas when I was a kid. It brings me back 30 years or so of great memories. Sliding, snowball fights, people visiting each other. It was awesome being a kid.
I REALLY DO LOVE THIS SONG. CHRISTMAS FOR SURE. BRINGS BACK MEMORIES FROM CHRISTMAS/WINTERS PAST.(BACK IN THE DAY WHEN WE HAD WINTERS..LOL). THAT WAS OVER 35 YEARS AGO NOW. TO BAD THEY DO NOT WRITE SONGS LIKE THIS ANYMORE. SONGS WITH HEART AND MEANING. A SONG YOU CAN RELATE TO.HE WAS ONE OF THE BEST WRITERS AND SINGERS OUT THERE. HE WILL BE AND IS SADLY MISSED. REST IN PEACE MR.O'REILLY.
NL christmas....This song brings back so many memories of being a kid in the 70's and early 80's. Sliding and hockey on the roads. Christmas was such fun then, not commercial.
IT's Asad but heartwarming tune, not meant to be A Christmas song, but we relate to winter and children playing in the snow.Looking back on my own childhood, the song is A perfect fit to many Christmas memories and what better then A child eyes lighting up at Christmas time when they see the snow falling softly.
There's something quite seriously wrong with you. Get into therapy, learn about real life, the very real human facets of empathy, humility, conscience, .... beliefs, attitudes, impulses, feelings, the notions of spirituality and of personal responsibility, and more. Drop your act and endeavor to stop being narrow minded and selfish, self-absorbed and defensive/offensive. Spend time learning to actually grow, and grow up, and learn about human nature. Then try to become human. Or, just shut up and go away.

This song was sang for Fergus' new born nephew. His sister in law, Peggy played it over and over again when we visited her.
