Note to self. Things one must not forget when plying the river for the great finned beast: krill powder, trolling motor control, krill powder, net, delicious krill powder, depth finder, more krill powder, lure boxes, did we remember the krill powder?! No, seriously, did we bring the krill powder? Bwahahahaha! That's a couple of fine kids you got there Ray. They surely love their old man.
Well only one of them is "my" kid so far. That krill powder is some great stuff you should sprinkle a bit of it on your spaghetti! We had a great time that day for sure, looking forward to doing it again.
3:20 is my favorite part 😂😂😂😂 I love how wholesome this video is. It's really cool to see you share that relationship with your dad as I do with mine. Maybe one day I'll meet him. He even one-upped you with the "and hit that bell" Hahaha
The mouth of the American IS Discovery Park, which is where we were fishing, I think it says as much in the video....the famous barge hole is by Redding not Colusa. But what do I know, I was only here for the tacos!!! HA HA!
@@raymondlyon4388 hey next time try the feather at the outlet in gridley either roe or minnow jigs. If you look at the concrete embankment you'll see a line or you'll see the concrete flat the end that would be pointing east make an imaginary line to the pool . That's where that water out of the spillway starts going down stream.. you should do extremely well since the last 6 days there's only been at most 2 things floating in that hole either boats or a boat and innertuber
@@garystevens1044 Thanks for the tips...the outlet hole is in Oroville and can be amazingly productive and amazingly crowded. Been there but I'm not sure I'm ready to go back just yet. DO you REALLY know where these places are? You might be "trolling" me here!
@@raymondlyon4388 the only 2 rivers I'm close to that I'll fish is American and the feather I moved here to you uba city in 88 and have been fishing the Vance Ave side of the spillway or aka the gridley side. If you go over the bridge of the spill way they call it the Biggs side and if you go off the hiway 70 side that's the Oroville side or they refer to it as the hors shoe side... Or island side cuz there usually is an island . And you have a boat so you don't have to wade from shore to access it . Which is great... Considering I've witnessed out of my years fishing there 3 people drowning trying to cross to that island.. now I would say the YUBA .. BUT ITS CLOSED TO SALMON and it barbless baitless and only trout and Steelhead. But that river is sooo full of wild fish to this day I still have not caught a single hatchery fish on the YUBA.. so. Something cool though is the actor Michael Keaton he played beetle juice.. anyway during the early spring feb.march. he dishes the YUBA and is a board member for cal trout and is active with trout unlimited as well . Which is really cool.
Ok so.sardine wrap. Or troll a flying c lure also.if you find a rapala.or any other brand you want one that looks like a sardine .. another hot spot is sand beach and discovery park .. unless.you feel.lime.hitting the delta go to BENICIA out last the pier it's hot..
