Local Authority came and dug up the sewer line on the street out side my house today. The guys said all the displaced pipe was on their side. What a relief. It's all red clay here, just like this property.

The team is back! The water after clearing the drain is still very dirty. That is never a good sign. Big break in the drain
line lets the dirt get into it. Called in after the damage was done. Heard that before. Great job inspecting the damage

It amazes me that these homeowners have drains everywhere and they don’t keep the walkways or any areas nearby cleaned of debris, etc.

We don't have those lines in Texas. What we use is direct drain from the roof to soil around the home.
The newer homes since the 80's have timed sprinklers around the foundation to keep the soil somewhat moist year round to prevent foundation soil from expanding and contracting. That's what will wreck a foundation.
If you run into one of those lines down there that need replaced from damage, suggest to the customer a multi-zone lawn sprinkler system and they'll never have to suffer a clog again plus it may be cheaper than the mess to replace ag lines and the lawn gets watered too.
In fact you could easily add sprinkler installation to your existing business or give a sprinkler service a referral! All about the house foundation.

Where do you live that the roots grow into all of the culverts and pipes?
I enjoy watching your posts. But this one I'll call you on. Long before you decided to sweep the dirt and sand, every time the water flowed back into the drain it took some dirt and sand back with it. When you swept, there appears to be a lot less dirt and sand than when you ran your fingers thru the pile.
It also looked like they didn't have a good draining developed when they had sidewalks and driveways installed. All the water seemed to gravitate to the lowest point which appeared to be the garage door. They need a drainage ditch somewhere to get that flow out into the storm water in the street. I laughed when he kept putting the water and sand back where he just washed it away from. Must have been all that partying over the Christmas weekend.
