Only rookies & people that don't know any better would refer to them as a cement mixer! A cement truck is a tanker that holds only powdered cement! A concrete mixer holds cement,water, sand,& aggregate AKA STONE! So your wrong & the guy u called kid is 100% correct & you're 100% wrong! We would make fun of a new driver that would call this a cement mixer because for starters there's no such thing! It's a concrete mixer & the person that drives it is known as a concrete mixer driver!! Cement truck is a whole different concept & not even close!
Those cement mixers, cement pumper trucks, fire trucks, garbage trucks, yard trucks, & smaller non semi trucks like those Isuzus are the only cabovers I see around in the USA nowadays. Cabover semis use to be popular & common in the USA back in the '80s & down. Of course things have changed over the years such as the law increased the length limit which eliminated the need for cabover semis to pull trailers that exceeded a certain length & then they stopped selling them in the USA.

@@wisconsinbigrigs8427 Hmmm, well alrighty then. My father saw one of these in Texas and pestered me to figure out what it was, lol. I assumed it was an additional aggregate mixer, but I'll go with an engine. Thanks
i don't think these even excist in europe. but looking at the data i geuss these things are just to expensif for what they are used. most concrete mixers here are just trailers that any truck can hook up and they can carry up to 11-12 m³. while these front loaders only seem to go till 7.5m³ and are a one use vehicle. and while it seems easy to manouvre since you can easely see where you can offload, that thing on the back would probably cause problems while turning since it sticks too far out.
It seems like a lot of those trucks run on diesel, hence the aggressive sound they have. Don’t get me wrong, the sound doesn’t actually bother me. I actually like it.

I think that’s the engine itself. Because the driver sits basically in the front of the truck
