The Philippines has so many festivals in every town city , provincial , school, group, National,it's a whole year round celebration, starting from January 1 up to December 31,even the holy week the parades
What makes those feativals more amazing is that participants are mostly local high school or college students. From dancers to drummers to warriors. It shows just how well disciplined the youths are. The performance, the stàmina and the dedication. Not to mention the artistic talents behind those costumes. The skills behind those music produced from drums and bamboos and sticks. Lastly the choreography for street dancing and stage performance. Also the services of the drivers and people behind the provisions who provide food, snacks and beverages. And most of all the support of the family and friends. It's an awesome collective efforts of the whole community. I am Filipino from the City of Smiles, Masskara Festival Bacolod City. Watching from Saudi Arabia.
I was once a participant on Masskara Festival mardi gras street dance competition. I remember the first and 2nd year of the festivities, we are ones (the students) made our own mask. Right now, it is sponsored and much better. I claimed the masskara the best. ♥️♥️♥️
Most of the festivals were held in the Visayas island. The only festivals from Baguio were held in the Northern Luzon. Thanks for sharing😮 the video. I came from the Ilocos region hence I’d never seen these festivals.
There's a lot of festivals in the philippines the entire year,,bangus festival,in dagupan, tuna festival in gensan, kadayawan festival in davao,,panagbenga festival in baguio,,and many more....
*Nuestra Señora de Peñafrancia Fiesta in Bicol Region every September.* 😊 Naga is a pilgrim city, and you can expect many Catholics to visit the Queen City of Bicol Region.
Several of these festivals were in New York several months ago for the the Philippine independence. From street dances, tents of Filipino street food and even live band were there
ILOILO Dinagyang Festival is the most awarded festival in the Philippines.. And Dubbed as the Queen of all Philippine Festival and Voted 3times as Best Tourism event in the country, Very Innovative Festival ,❤️❤️❤️
dinagyang festival MOTHER of all festival in the Philippines multiple times winner of aliwan festival..as requested they performed abroad so many times...
Yes Sir Rapper I love watching these, I never forget this festival, this is the place where my mother live, (the festival called DINAGYANG ILOILO)🙏thank you, thank you Sir Rapper and more more power ❤❤❤️✌️🇵🇭🇲🇴
Dinagyang won in the Aliwan Festival this year. (Aliwan Festival is a contest of all the festivals all over Philippines.) The Visayas region dominates the Aliwan Festival this year. 4th Runner Up - Negros Occidental (Sidlak Kadalag-an Festival), 2nd Runner Up - Guimaras (Manggahan Festival), 1st Runner Up - Cebu (Sinulog Festival), Grand Champion - Iloilo (Dinagyang Festival)
fun fact most of the people dancing in these festival dances are either dance troupes or dancers from a club from each of the city's schools. most of them are students. since its a contest usually with prize money its also possible that some of them are people from certain barangays
The Festival Celebrations in the Philippines is all about the Celebrations of their Saint Patrons in their towns , Barrios or Baranggays , and Cties . Everyone participating for the occassions.
I live in Iloilo City where Dinagyang festival is... this festival is very enjoyable. the drums, musics and costumes of every tribe is very cool.. if your try to visit here during festival, i advise is to where your most comfortable clothes coz, it will gonna make you sweat, walk and also prepare for crowed coz there will be a lot oof people
Dinagyang has a different vibe among other festivals because it's so lively and energetic. It requires stamina once you perform in the festival. Performers need to perform in 3 or 5 different areas or streets and they need to walk until they reach every area. Of course every area has different group of people and different set of judges. You should not get tired because you need to give your best in every area. Performers are composed of drummers, warriors, and dancers. Each group in Dinagyang is called tribe. A tribe usually has of 50-90 warriors, 30-65 drummers, 15-65 dancers. Nowadays, they also added live singers and chanters. That's why it is so popular among tourists because you will really get hyped when you are watching them perform plus the intensity when you hear the beat of the drums.
Dinagyang is nothing different from Ati atihan..but the difference is..ATI ATIHAN is the mother of Philippine festivals...in short..Ati atihan came first
@@lancefortaleza3665 There is no doubt that Ati-atihan is the mother of all festivals because its the first festival in the country. Ati-atihan and Dinagyang have the same history of commemorating the legendary barter and the arrival of the Malay sttlers. But Dinagyang has the Ati Tribe competition and Ati-atihan is more on street dancing/ merry making. That's why I didn't see Ati-atihan participate in Aliwan Festival. Dinagyang has also merry making/ street dancing but it is separate with the tribe competition. Watch this to know the difference th-cam.com/video/7HaMFiLvoDw/w-d-xo.html When you watch Aliwan Festival you will see the difference of each festival in the Philippines.
@@lancefortaleza3665 Ati atihan and Dinagyang are Neighboring Place and the native Aeta/ati Came from Panay. Just like Sinulog almost the same with festivals in Leyte.. and Ati atihan has black color while Dinagyang is brown.. and Ati atihan has no performance like Dinagyang that made every year Interesting.. Ati atihan is the Mother of all Philippine Festival and Dinagyang is the Queen of All Philippine Festival and MOST AWARDED ❤
Kadayawan Festival is the Queen of all festivals here.we celebrated it as thanks giving for being so abundant island in the whole Philippines.proud Davaoeno
@@bimbylat2039sa pagkakaalam ko po ati-atihan is the mother of all festivals but dinagyang is the most awarded like 3consecutive wins in aliwan was the proof so yeah we can call dinagyang as the queen of festival 😂
These are only Street Dancing Categories. You will see more of the story-telling, singing, musical, and dancing in the Grand Ritual Showdown in a huge platform/stage such as Sinulog, Dinagyang, Masskara, and the Pintados.
yes thats true all you can see the festival in the philippines is diferent than other country it is unique and original choreugraphy style and ticnique there are 42,000 festival in the record making in the philippines more in barangay level to town and cities i like your video reaction honestly
Thank you for showing and commenting to all the festivals in the Philippines and a lot more .But for me i am a very proud Aklanon from Kalibo ,Aklan which the famous Ati Atihan Festival held on the 3rd Sunday of the month of January which is the mother of all the festival. It is pure and blessed festivals in which all kinds of people can participate in street dancing and merriment . Seek the blessings of Santo Nino . It is really amazing ❤ It's more fun in the Philippines 🇸🇽😍❤️👍
Great seeing Filipino Festivals presented in world stage. One minor comment though. Pahiyas is not in Marinduque Province.. It', in Quezon Province, Town of Lucban to be precise.
To His Reaction Masskara Festival is the Best. The Reason why Tourist want to feel the Craze of the Festival is they want to Be Happy👈😄 thats the reason why Masskara Festival is the Happiest Festival to try. The most Unique and Colorful Festival in Philippines.
Try to see if you visit in Philippines Davao City's annual festival, we call it KADAYAWAN Festival, which celebrates life and thanksgiving for nature's bounty, the wealth of culture, the bounties of harvest and serenity of living.
Try reacting to phililipines graduations. Here in ph we actually sing and dance during graduations and it can really get emotional and it is for the parents. Just imagine your last day of school being a musical. And i am not exaggerating. Every private school as their own graduation song and if you ask any filipino what their grad song was they'll likely have one.
Come to davao every 3rd week of august every saturyday there is "kadayawan indakdak sa kadalanan" we celebrate every year round this year in this year of august 19,2023 in davao city in mindanao located in southern part of philippines but whole august is celebrated as a whole for the festival
