Bobcat's greeting/reaction to Kevin makes me emotional every time. That cat loves him so much, there's no doubt.
The love and adoration you get from Bobcat, you can’t help but fall absolutely and completely in love with him

The fact that Kevin gets a full sized male lion to willingly lounge in his lap will always be fascinating to me. Keep up the good work, you bring smiles all around the world and spread much needed knowledge about misunderstood creatures
this clip seems to confirm the lions are by far the easiest animals to read and to be around. hyena society is a bit tricky and leopards usually are solitary creatures but lions live in prides with pretty obvious rules and none too cryptic communication patterns. wouldn't be surprised to learn Kevin himself feels most relaxed when in the company of lions.

Wild Cat, would protect the grain[and vegetable] stocks from all kinds of rodents. Including the southern migration of the big Norwegian Brown Rat, some of whom can be aggressive, requiring something with a little more bite to catch.
@@LoneBrowncoat don't know about Savannah cats but African Wildcats are ferocious beasts I wouldn't want to deal with. anyway, was commenting on the three species Kevin featured in this clip. on a wider note, cheetahs probably are my personal favourites. of all cat species mentioned so far you could set me up with more than one cheetah right now and I would be completely fine while even one small African wildcat would be way too much for me to handle.
@@embreis2257 .......Their temperament would be closer to a domestic feral, having no trust in humans, especially if mistreated or abandoned. Like I always got along with the feral mothers, but the wild born kittens are another story. Three times I forgot my welder's gloves and I wound up losing chunks out of my hands, they just revert to their ancestral beginnings.

again. Since some Brown Rats were as large as house cats, something bigger was needed back then.
I loved watching this. I am not ashamed to say that I feel very envious of dear Kevin and his wonderful life with those beautiful animals.

Yeah, the sight of just tiny bit of black figure peeking around the corner of nightpen was incredibly adorable 🥰 and of course BOBCAT is always the best demonstrator for Kevin ❤️ although Bongo also brilliantly demonstrated his vocalization too! This video is one of the most peaceful and enjoyable ones!

Yeeees! Bobcat and Gabby! I am so happy. And Bobcat was in form today: he's always a talker, but today he was really going all out haha. A bit sorry I didn't get to hear my favourite Kevin vocalisation: "Gabby, NOOOO!"

Bobcat is my favorite male lion. The way he acts when he sees you and his way of talking to you and the look of happiness when he's head rubbing you reminds me of the way a favorite pet would act when they haven't seen you all day. As far as the female lion's it's either Meg or Gabs (if Amy were still around it would be her and Meg) they must think of you as the #1male, you can see it in their eyes. You are a very lucky man Kev, thanks for doing what you do for those poor felines, they look much happier after meeting you and your staff of great people who look out for the unfortunate ones.

I didn't realize hyenas get big they look small compared to lions but seeing you by the hyenas made me realize how huge they are amazing

The best video in awhile, something for everybody! Love seeing the hyenas being so affectionate. Duke peeking around the corner at you was too precious. You saved to best for last, though Gabby seemed to be more inclined to sleep rather than fight Bobcat for your attention that day. His vocalizations are so endearing. You are a very blessed man to have earned their love.

I love all the big cats but I think leopards may be my favorites. They have to be the stealth cats in the wild to coexist with lions and hyenas. They're also the most widespread of the big cats. 😊
Kevin, I really love how your videos show that regardless of wild or domestic, Animals respond to love with love. Not to say that wild animals are safe in any way, as they are still wild and people should not project our values on them. But it's obvious they love you. That's awesome.

I love watching the older videos and seeing that she's always been Gabby. There's one that she's covered with mud and though Kevin tried warding her off, she rolled all over him, then jumped up and ran away! Growing up with brothers made her tough. She's a special cat!

This was very interesting because in all this time I have not heard your hyenas moo before. I was hoping that Duke and Kahn would have eaten out of your hands and I didn't know they made that sawing sound. And it is always so nice to see Bobcat cuddling with you even though he sort of bossed Gabby a bit but he still allowed you to spend time with her. Great video Kevin!
They act so much like their smaller housecat cousins. I grew up with housecats and I loved them all. I've a friend who adopted her first ever cat and she wasn't aware of even how to speak to him for best results. The higher-pitched silly kitty talk helped to open up their conversations straightaway! 🐱

What an absolute privilege it must be for you, Kev. They are magnificent, Wild creatures that allow you into their world without your being the main course!
I think the greetings with animals is much like with people: letting others know that you're a friend and that you mean no harm. No one likes to be snuck up upon: it could be dangerous! Kevin's animal friends know his scent and his vocals. They've all known him since they were cubs and recognize those sounds as something that means love, affection, and safety. It's wonderful to see & hear his relationships with these creatures. Thanks, Kevin, for sharing all of this with us!💗🦁💗

This is fascinating. vocal communication with 3 animal species (hyena, leopard, lion). Very instructive.
I'd love to see a behind the scenes of the keepers at this sanctuary. We always see the animals but not always the people and the emotional toll/influence it has on the animals. Love your work Kev!
Thanks for the video explaining. I felt you can see in each cat here, the over communication you had to do to teach. The point where they were wondering why you're greeting them or calling them again when they're already there.

Just so Amazing how Kevin can speak all of the languages of the Hyenas. lions, and leopards as well as the cheetahs. Kevin can speak a so much more powerful language then all of us, he can connect with and be acepted amongst these wild amazing predators! Thanks for teaching us about these animals and Much Love!!!!!

Thank you for sharing how you communicate with the wild mammals on your preserve. I was on the ranch growing up and I was raised with bulls and horses and other large animals we came to know each other and I learned body language and the sounds that they made and I guarantee you that body language was really important.

You can practically see the true friendship bobcat has for Kevin. It sure is something special to watch the obvious bond they have. The way the black leopard's act is kinda like how a house cat acts aloof and independent unless you have something they like and want
