Love watching you make stuff, reminds me of my childhood watching my dad make stuff in the shop. Precious moments in my life where time seemed to stand still as a project took shape one moment at a time. Thanks for sharing Jimmy!
Jimmy I can't say thank you enough, I have been watching your videos for a long time and you inspire me as well as many others. I wanted to take the time to thank you for all that you do and for showing that hard work and dedication will never go unseen. Keep great work 👍
All I could think is, I have got to try this. Sure I don't have the oven, the shaper, the magnetic hold down etc, but as a little project that might fail it conjures up a compelling force wanting me to try. Thanks for inspiring me!
Ring-spun yarn is made by twisting and thinning the cotton strands to make a very fine, strong, soft rope of cotton fibers. Ring-spun cotton t-shirts are more durable and last longer than their regular counterparts
Fantastic Jimmy! You bandsaw brass like it's soap! Just seeing you use that robust grinder belt and your buffer wheel that looks like an F150 differential is awesome!
They're pretty damn consistent. I remember being caught up about 100+ episodes in and took a break and was maybe 30 uploads behind. I haven't listened in maybe 2 years. What episode are they on now? And What's the funniest title they've used for one this year 😂?
Adesso ho capito Maestro Jimmy, ogni volta che ti ricrescono i peli sul braccio fai un coltello per rasarteli ... ah ah ah ah .. è sempre un godimento vederti all'opera maestro, buon weekend.
I recommend the Edge-On-Up sharpness tester. It gives a quantitative measurement of how sharp an edge is, much better than shaving your arm hair or slicing up paper. The feedback from this gadget allowed me to upgrade my sharpening skills from Mediocre to Barely Acceptable.
While I can see the value in that test for comparing blades or for quality control/batch testing in production work, real world use case tests are more relatable.

Hey all - Just a quick update to let you know that My Giant DiResta Razors are Now Live Here: imakeny.com/products/diresta-razor-blade

A true artist is not one who is inspired, but one who inspires others.
I can't be the only one who assumed this was going to be a knife on one end and a crowbar hook on the other, as one piece. But that would be lunacy.
you can eat the crow now
I didn't assume that was going to happen, but I hoped for it.
yup, I thought the same ... this is gonna be a cool knife ..... and then 2:15 happened. It is still a nice looking knife though.
Thought crossed my mind in the final shot, knife and crowbar together. Still could happen, there is enough crowbar left over.
I hoped it would be a crowbar-handled knife.
You can always tell how long it's been since Jimmy made a knife by how much arm hair he has 😂 Beautiful work as always!!

Thank you dave!! Respect ✊🏻
Whenever you are making a knife I sit here with a huge smile...can't help it!
Jimmy's girlfriend noticing the bald patch on his forearm: " You been making a knife again?" 😉
Love and respect!
I knew we wouldn't go a whole video without Jimmy showing us why he's the bandsaw whisperer
As always the man makes it look effortless. Nice trick drilling the holes for the scales.
After the heat treat the colour of the steel was beautiful. Great job as always.
Yeah that straw colour was perfect
I get the feeling Jimmy makes knives when the hair on his forearm starts to grow back. This was cool.
All I could think is, I have got to try this. Sure I don't have the oven, the shaper, the magnetic hold down etc, but as a little project that might fail it conjures up a compelling force wanting me to try. Thanks for inspiring me!
Were so many people just use a power hammer for all the work jimmy goes at it with just a hammer for the most part. The man the legend jimmy diresta
I think that is the first time I saw you wearing a Harley t-shirt in your videos! Great knife!

Your armhair shows how long it’s been since the last sharp instrument was made😉
Seeing that Apple Watch, I couldn't even confirm this was actually Jimmy!! Great knife btw!!!
You sure got some nice tools Mr. DIRESTA.
THIS IS AWESOME! I love the bit of the blade that still has that rough forged look. This just sits well with me. I appreciate your art sir!
congratulations you are a very good teacher And everything you make is perfect I wish you always well warm regards Spyros from London!!!👍🇬🇷
That Ipe handle really finishes off the solid feel of the knife!! Great work man

The knife on the end of the crowbar looked damn badass!
just good old fashioned diresta magic
Coolest damn crowbar I’ve ever seen!
Awesome video Jimmy! Just listened to Making it too, still my favourite podcast every week. Much love from Ireland.

I am predicting a beautiful sheath video in the near future... Great video Jimmy, I like how you left a rough spot to speak to the process.
The leather handles you make are very nice too.

Hello Jimmy Diresta beautiful knife good job well done
Crowbar...? Knife...?
Those are the two most beloved weapon of mine!

So nice had to watch it twice!
I really need the second video of the backhoe!!!
Soon ! Lots more to do
You turn wood into gold 💙👍🏻👍🏻
Well done Jimmy! That is a beautiful knife! I still say that you should be on the show "Forged In Fire"! 👍👍😉😉
Love the little rough area right before the guard, as beautifully finished as it is that little area reminds us of where it all began.
Amazing, Jimmy... Really fantastic work! 😃
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Just found your channel, I wish I had a workshop, but landlord won't let me have one. Beautiful knife you made there, well done dude.
jimmys ready for forged in fire. great show
Normal people: go to store buy a knife.
Jimmy Diresta: go to stor buy a crowbar, make it a knife.
I love it.
Next video, please make a leather strap for your Apple watch 😍😍
Goodness you are an artist. Thanks for sharing.
Nice work Jimmy. Your knifemaking skills have greatly improved since that first one. Love the 2-pc guard.
Awesome film. Cool push to focus Pferd shot. Wicked looking knife, incredible it came from a crowbar. Mahalo for sharing! : )

Like how you painted those yellow tools white. I imagine there’s a story behind that. 😆
Nice work, Jimmy!
I wish I had half the talent you do. That's a nice looking knife Jimmy.
You are truly talented Jimmie! Keep up the great work, it inspires so many.
You always make it look so easy! But I know its just the years of experience and skill being put on display, bravo.
When you have a forge, anvils, a power hammer, a belt grinder, bandsaws, a drill press and a heat treating oven it is not too hard.
Great job Jimmy loving the videos.
I SOOOO wanted a burrito to get cut at the end... Alas... Thanks Jimmy!
I just love it when you post a new video! Thanks Jimmy!! And now make us a sheat for the knife 👌
Nice Knife, I especially like the coffin handle

Dope AF knife, @jimmydiresta! Now you've gotta stitch up an equally dope sheath to go with it!
What is that fixture to sharpen the blade? Is that something home made?

I'll bet the warranty is voided on the crowbar when you put that thing in the furnace 😎😎
Great looking knife!
That’s a sharp looking knife
Nice knife. Jim would be proud of you. I bet he could have used you at San Antonio!
