I just got one of these systems and apart from the comically large caps, it’s one of the best things i ever bought, even makes my car look more like a spaceship inside (that’s what i’m goin for)
Since they are heavy it might also throw off the tire balance so you may have to get the tires rebalanced. With every option there are pro's and con's.
I’m looking for one of these for my VW beetle. I really want one that allows different pressure warnings for front and rear, since most rear engine cars require less pressure In the front tires.
I loved having my tyre pressures visible on my Porsch 911’s as using the right pressure not only saves lives but makes for better fuel mileage. Thank you for making me aware of this as the BMW only tells me when there is pressure loss. Thanks again
Disappointed that you never explained why you considered this "the best" TPMS compared to other similar products on the market. When you claim something is the best, it implies that it is better than the competitors. So why is it the best?
@@DBTechYT well, where do you answer it in the video and do the comparison with other systems Unless you do that, the question becomes an implied suggestion.. that's how it works with titles.
@@DBTechYT OK I did that and what I had happened is that the tire pressure is not showing up correctly. I set the pressure to 60psi and it shows up 56 and 57 as the tire pressure . Is there a way to calibrate the sensors.
DB, I have a similar situation to what you had where one wheel/tire leaks down over time and the others are relatively stable. In order to add air to any one of the four wheels, do I have to remove the sensor completely to do so? Kind of inconvenient if I misplace my little wrench that secures the lock nut or if I'm in a big hurry!
@@DBTechYT I thought the idea of the nut was as a locknut, to keep peeps from 'stealing' my TPS off the wheels? If that is the case, again I ask you: In order to add air to any one of the four wheels, do I have to remove the sensor completely to do so? What did YOU have to do in order to add air to a tire while these were in use?
I just screwed them on and off as I needed them. I never used any locking anything on them. Also, I only had them for a few months a few years ago before I just got rid of the car they were on, so I have almost no recollection of how they went on. I put them on. They reported to the sensor.
@@DBTechYT Okay, rewatched it... could have sworn that you had used the locking nuts feature when installed but your reference to the wrench was just for changing out the batteries. 🤐
Is there any possible way to sync the receiver with the pressure senders installed inside the tires? I already have one and cannot find any information on how to program it to the existing transmitters.
My sensors and their lock nuts completely corroded and fused together with the valve! I know that I should have put grease on the treads but, now, how do I get them off?!
You can turn-off the unit by pressing the button on the left for 5 seconds. You may be able to reduce the low air pressure alarm to something less than 20 psi.
I would suggest you consider replacing your rubber valve stems for the metal ones. People have reported the extra weight from the sensors on the end of the rubber valve stems have led to their failure, i.e., crack or break off entirely, which you don't want happening while driving.
Not if you install them properly. I never had any issues with them. Make sure you put some sort of thread grease on them to keep them from seizing to the stem.
@@DBTechYT I have truck tires and they are creating a pendulum effect. I've had FOUR valve stems fail at the rim so far. I'm buying the Schrader Retrofit valve stems

weigh the sensor and put an equal amount of led on the opposite side

The question is, what kind of cheap battery cheap sensors have inside ? What if the battery lasts a mere 6 months ?
are these still for sale? your link doesnt work anymore

It would be nice if you had a setup video for this device.
You turn the main unit on and the wheel caps connect via bluetooth. That's the setup process: turn it on.

So how you change the battery on the sensors?
it should have come with a little wrench tool thing that is used to remove the large caps where the batteries are located in each sensor
Can it be calibrated? I have one and my tyre pressures are out of wack which makes it useles
How do you read aftermarket tpms sensors installed already? Tia.
you'd need the associated tmps sensor reader/brain. If you've got the sensors but not the reader/brain the sensors aren't going to do you much good.
@@DBTechYT but doesn’t a good autel read them all? If there installed.? Sorry I’m new to this.

No. Not with this cheap model.

they're not too heavy. I didn't find a need to rebalance my tires afterward
Yes you should balance them when using them.. they weight is about 10grams..
