- After receiving some requests I decided to start a new series showcasing the footage I have from Winnie's Puppyhood. This first video is a collection of clips from when I visited Winnie & her litter mates while she still lived with the breeder. Just found your videos. My Pokey went to Heaven on Oct. 2014 at 15 y.o. and my Maggie Mae went to Heaven Jan.2014, just 7 y.o. Really miss them. Someday soon hope to adopt another Shih Tzu. They are so special. Noticed the orange snow boots you used for Winnie. In the future, will need to get some. What are they called?
What's the breeder's kennel name? I mean, what prefix does she breed under??

I just wanted to say all of your grooming videos have helped me groom my Shih Tzus and Yorkshire Terriers. I just love how Winnie is so patient and adores you my female Bella is allot like Winne she is laid back and is like mom stop taking videos and pictures plese! I and getting my new Shih Tzu puppy Next week and I am really excited to be able to look to your videos for reference. Keep up the videos!
Oh my what cute puppies. Winnie absolutely adorable. I live in Michigan and understand you are also from the Midwest. I can travel out of state also if the breeder is not in Michigan. Is there anyway you can PLEASE tell me how to contact this breeder for a puppy. I would be so VERY greatful!! If you want you can private message me, I am hopeful you have the time to do so :) Thank you so very much. I lost my shih tzu a few months ago and so miss the companionship of these wonderful dogs.
Puppies need to be with their mother till they are 8-10 weeks old. They learn a lot from their mother and siblings and it prevents behavior problems later on. Any breeder that allows their pups to leave mom before 8 weeks is NOT a good breeder.

My St. Bernard always had a very pronounced football head. You couldn't tell by looking, but more than one vet would "feel up" his head and say, "Weirdddd!" :) I love Winnie and she is very lucky to have such a devoted mommy.
This is completely un-related, but where did you get those "barstools"? I have a chair just like them and I want barstools like those to match my chair.
does winnie have seperation anxiety at all? I was just wondering because you seem so close, please respond if you can!
Next Week sunday i get my Morkie Puppy! Soo excited to see Winnie in this age.

Funny how Winnie ended up with an owner that gave her the best of both worlds. She may not be a show dog but you couldn’t tell us that you always kept her beautiful

So adorable!!! Your right about the puppy picking the owner. Our first baby pomeranian picked us. We got a second one so our first would have a friend. That one didn't pick us. But eventually he grew to love us. But it was a challenge. So my advice is, pick the puppy that picks you..Much easier to train and handle...

it's so true about the puppy "picking" the owner. when my husband went to visit the puppies (i got ollie as a birthday surprise) he had to decide between the boy and the girl. i preferred girls, but when he played with them, the girl couldn't care less about him & just wanted to play, but ollie hung around him the entire time and even took a nap in his lap. i always say that ollie picked him. :)
Shih Tzus are so adorable. I have the mom and her one and only baby girl. C section by the way, a whole story in its self. They are my best little friends in fur, loyal and lovable and sooooo cute, like Winnie. Winnie has a very loving home, good mom and dad.
@WinnieTheTzuTube I'm so happy you always include her in all the festivities! She is such a lucky puppy & in turn, you are such a lucky puppy-mama. Big squeezes & smooches to Aunt Julie for taking such good care of Miss Winnie while you're out and about. I'm an "Aunt Evie" for a sweet baby Bichon & it is such a joy for me to love on her while her mom & dad are out galavanting - it's a win/win for everyone & it sounds like you have that with your Aunt Julie. Anxiously awaiting the next video.
My Shih Tzu Fudge and I enjoyed this video, I was surprised how she watched the screen for quite awhile lol. My daughter recently got a shih tzu puppy that is a twin for my girl Fudge. Do you ever think of getting another and having two?
I also say "Thaaat's mine.." to my shih tzu when she brings over one of her toys!
Thank you so much for sharing "Winnie... The Early Years (ummm... Weeks)"!! I just loved this video. Nothing is quite as cute as a frolicing puppy. I could almost smell the puppy breath!!!! The precious meter was spiking and I couldn't stop smiling while watching all those sweet babies! I can't wait for the next episode of "Winnie... OMG! They're sooo cute! I can't wait till November 15 to get my new Shi Tzu Puppy from my Aunt. She told me to get it on 15th so it's finally ok to take him Away from the MOM! yey! I'll start Vlogging!!

I got my baby shih ztu 4 days ago he's 6 weeks old and he is smaller than these ones I guess it's bc he's a toy shih tzu I don't ever want him to grow up!
a dog should not be away from its mom till 8 to 10 weeks old

for future reference, adopt don't shop! i see so many purebred dogs at shelters looking for a good home =)
Puppies from breeders need homes too. I personally wanted to know where my baby came from so it was important to me to know the breeder and the mom & dad.
i understand but even people who usually dont breed, have to do something with the puppies they have. they cant just leave them in out on the streets if no one wants them
Deery Luhan it's supply and demand: if more people adopted from shelters and rehomed, then breeding would diminish. We must focus on homing all the homeless animals before breeding more.
If someone is looking for a dog, yes, by all means, go and adopt. Just because they are a pure bred does not mean that they will look like the dog being shown. There is more to it than just being a purebred. With a dog like a Shih Tzu, with a well bred dog there is a great chance that the dog will carry the beautiful genes that makes for a beautiful Shih Tzu. This gal would not have found such a beautiful dog at the pound,purebred or not and that is what she was looking for. Great genes. At one time, only royalty owned these beautiful dogs.
It all depends on what one is looking for. I know breeders of Shih Tzus have a waiting list to receive a puppy, because these dogs are bred for the beauty of their breed and are picky in who they breed with. They do not breed with just any Shih Tzu.
