Top 20 Roller Coasters in Belgium | Is Kondaa or Ride to Happiness Number One?

- Belgium received two truly world-class coasters in 2021 with Kondaa at Walibi Belgium and Ride to Happiness at Plopsaland de Panne. In this video, I rank the top 20 Belgian roller coasters I've personally experienced.

Personally I prefer Ride to Happiness over Kondaa as Ride to Happiness is just pure insanity but both are in my top 10 rollercoasters
They're close for me.
Last summer Belgium had me eating lots of health food: chocolate, beer, and fries.
Not a big fan of two of those.

I haven't ridden either of these myself, but after hearing about how much you enjoyed Ride to Happiness, I was shocked to hear that you liked Konda more.
Ride to Happiness moved down a tad on my rerides since I knew more what to expect. Still elite though!
I don't know which of those 2 would be my favorite. I think I'd prefer Ride to Happiness, but you make a solid case for Kondaa.
I think people are mixed on the two.
I had a school project about money-spending on a vacation a little more than a month ago, and I chose a coaster roadtrip through Belgium as my choice. This is why I asked for the prices of each Belgian amusement park. Great video, Mike. I don't regret choosing Belgium and feel thankful that it's affordable enough for me take on a trip there.😎👍

Ride to Happiness is currently my favourite coaster anywhere, but I really rate Kondaa, too. It's the king of the Intamin megacoasters in Europe. I like it much more than Hyperion.
Kondaa is definitely my favorite Intamin hyper/mega.
I love how the airtime is on a wooden coaster in Belgium that Canobie Coaster would say about the roughness and rerideability:
It is shaky but the seats are well designed.
Loup Garou.
Belgium looks like a great country to visit for coasters. Even just to visit. Also the zirer Tivoli that was at bellewarde was removed in November
I enjoyed my time there.

I can totally agree with you about this ranking. Kondaa takes the crown for me in Belgium but also in Europe
I like Untamed best in Europe, but it's close.

It will be interesting to see where both are in your overall rankings. I think most have Ride to Happiness higher. The air-time on Kndaa looks great! Both are extremely high on my bucket list.

Alan, I think the hype for Ride to Happiness will make it underperform for you, but it's still really good. I did Kondaa the day after and it was a whole tier above RtH for me. RtH has been getting so much hype that it almost can't live up to it anymore. Pretty sure even Mr Canobie praised it as being the best in Europe, but now both Untamed and Kondaa made it take a backseat.
I'd definitely put Revolution a little higher. Absolutely love that lift hill. The soundtrack is amazing. Kondaa is my favourite in all of Europe.

I gotta get another ride on kondaa to state my opinion but for now ride to happiness is my fav, theyre probably right next to eachother on the list though.

I havr experienced tiki waka when it was really hot and a got like 5 floater airtime moments, it has really good
Nice, that's a lot better than the ride I got. It was 80 F out for me.
In this video, there were Boomerang at Bellewaerde and Cobra at Walibi Belgium, but there was no Vampire at Walibi Belgium. I do like the three coasters, and I think they look and are thrilling.
Vampire is painful.
I hope to go again to Belgium and ride Loup Garou at Walibi Belgium sometime

Indeed Plopsalnd and Walibi Belgium are the 2 big parks but Bobbejaanland and Bellewaerde as well. Ride to Happiness and Kondaa are absolutely stunning to ride. Buy the collection is so diverse in this country.
It really got boosted by the new additions.
One of my favorite rides and I hope to ride again there is a wooden coaster that I liked it a lot. If I ask you, Canobie Coaster would say:
It is a good airtime wooden coaster.
It is rough but I love how combines it with the airtime. So I ask you, what about the smoothness or roughness?
Canobie Coaster would say...
A) It is mostly smooth, with some jackhammering in the valleys.
B) It is smooth, the valley after the first drop is the only jolt.
C) It is undeniably shaky, but the seats are well designed so they are not an issue.
D) It is brutally rough.

Belgium probably has the best top tube out of any country in Europe, with the exception of maybe Poland. I haven’t ridden them, but I think both kondaa and the right to happiness are both top 10 roller coasters in the world, epecially the ladder.
Germany is my favorite country in Europe for coasters.

I'm extremely surprised at how high you placed Loup-Garou, I thought it wouldn't even make your top 20 ! I rode it last October for the first time in many years and was shocked at how rough it had become. It badly needs a refurbishment

Intererresting. I recently published a Belgium Coaster Top 10 Video.
I see that I have a different opinion. Loup Gorou is out of my Top 10 (too rough) and Ride to Happiness is my N1.
Also: I obviously like Revolution and Hurracan more than you (both great indoor coasters).
I know the 1-2 could flip based on tastes.
So what would you rate Dawson Duel at Bellewaerde? Why?
Low, it's not a good ride.
I had surprisingly great rides on Heidi the Ride. Maybe my expectations were low.
It was in the 60s when I rode it, so maybe that was why. Rarely does it get that cool in Florida.
I Love Pulsar And Kondaa :)

I sadly haven't ridden Ride to Happiness yet. (The day I had a trip to Plopsaland last year, it froze, and almost all of the outdoor rides were closed. Frankly, they should've just closed the park and refunded everyone's tickets). But I weirdly prefer Fury over Kondaa. Even after riding Kondaa at night, when the coaster had a full day to warm up, I still feel like the forces on Fury were stronger, but I'm also just a simp for punchy launches.
I've always heard Kondaa needs time to warm up. I thought it was running well in the morning, but it did get better as the day went on. I went on an 80ish degree day.
@@CanobieCoaster I definitely preferred Kondaaa at night vs. in the morning, although to be fully scientific, I should try the same seat on a morning ride and an evening ride on the same day. My evening ride was in the back, which probably also made it better vs. sitting in the middle.
I'm so sorry for you that you did'nt could ride Vicky The Ride at Plopsa Coo. Because i think that you have an another top 20. Vicky The Ride is mutch better than Naga Bay.
I know that had a good chance of cracking this list, which is why I wanted to state its omission. Hope to get to that park one day.
With 9 credits, Kondaa is my favourite. I live in Belgium and close to Plopsaland de Panne. But I think I'll never ride Ride to Happiness because I get dizzy pretty easily

Most were fun/tolerable.
are the coasters so bad in my home country that we have a boomerang model in the top 20? but we have some special coaster models
Belgium's top rides are excellent. And it's at least near other good coaster countries too.
Of the rides at Walibi Belgium, I think some prefer Pulsar to Loup Garou

Dreamland and Loup Garu are on my worst coasters I have ever ridden list. I love Fury and Psyche Underground.
I had no issues with Loup-Garou since the trains are so well padded.
I prefer Kondaa over TRH also. I just place Anubis the ride above Fury.
I prefer Fury, but Anubis has the better launch.

I am from Germany and i must admit, when it comes to the 3 best coasters of a country Belgium would probably beat us and maybe the US as well.
Top 2 can compete with any country. The 3rd one drops off pretty significantly though.
@@CanobieCoaster That´s fair, im just a huge fan of Fury. My brother and me instantly voted to go backwards on our first ride and that was a true what the f**k moment for both of us because we didnt memorize any of the layout.

Huracan and Wakala are nice. Boomerang is forceful. Dawson Duel is awkwardly bad.

My top 20 couldn't be much different. I like Kondaa also more than Ride to happiness, witch most fans won't agree with.
I've seen people split on that.
How dizzying is the spinning on Ride to Happiness compared to an SBF Visa spinner? Ride to Happiness looks like it could be one of the best roller coasters in the world.
After 15 rides on 1 day it didn't bother me so much, wasnt too dizzy. Only once when I got back to back ride on it haha
I have a very high tolerance to spinning, but I haven't heard of anyone complaining of motion sickness or anything from this ride.
I rated Fury and RtoH higher than Konda, but its all perspective!
Surprised Fury was ahead of it.

Would probably put psyke underground + tiki waka lower.
Both were underwelming to me, psyke's new launch is pretty weak and tiki waka is pretty forgettable
+ both coasters often have horrible wait times
Would also put Revolution higher, just super unique and re-rideable even after being 30+ years old it's also very smooth despite its age
Also vampire from walibi is not on the list? Would put that at least above cobra

Dreamcatcher should be replaced with Vampire in Walibi, It's 10 times better! Dreamcatcher is rlly boring, Vampire has speed and inversions, which makes it much more interesting!
Vampire has more speed and power, but it is significantly rougher.
theres no way you actually think loup garou is the 4th best coaster in belgium, its very rough, anubis is way better than that.
