I would assume he has! It's very common for celebrities to use undercover accounts and watch covers of their songs.
Taylor Swift for instance, whether you like her music or not she is the largest and most busy artist at this moment in time. And she's pretty open about the fact she watches fans covers of her music.

This song is and was dedicated to the love of my life who lost her battle w/cancer. You did an amazing job singing it. Listening to you sing it. I close my eyes imaging it’s her singing it to me from heaven.
