Ah Yes 🥀 Lovely Brooklyn Heights, ! Most folks would say that this is one of their favorite neighborhoods in Brooklyn! 🌸 What are your thoughts on a voice over as you walk and point out interesting things ? 🍒 Or are you comfortable with just the walk ?
Hi DN, It's such a pretty neighborhood and so quiet! As for chit chatting : Most of the time, I wouldn't know what I'm talking about. So I leave that to the experts. 🤣 This would be my sample voiceover for any Spring/Summer video: "Ohhh, look at that. Ohhh, that's pretty. Sheesh, these birds are noisy. Ohhh, that's for sale, would you live here? Yes, parking would difficult. Ohhh hiii puppy!" 🤣🤣
@@farbav I am confident that everyone would love to hear some ". Ooos, ahhh, my goodness, , " and anything else that would come to mind .. are you familiar with the famous ActionKid ? He enjoys collaborations with other TH-camrs, perhaps you could do a video with him. 🤗
Hi DN! I've seen him around! I've also seen James and Karla a few times this summer. I've had a couple people ask to do something, but I have no pizzazz to add to anyone's videos, plus I'm mostly quiet/shy - ish. I'm more of a listener. Shy-ish, because I can chat with a stranger like it's nobody's business. Who else do you like to watch here? A few of my current favorites that I'll sit down to watch for enjoyment are are Nonstop Dan (airplanes/travel), Flatbush Cats (cat rescue) RecessTherapy (a NYC based kids say the darndest things) , Jolly (2-funny UK guys trying new food things), BilliSpeaks (talking cat), & Emily D Baker (legal takes).
@@farbav Hi Beth 🎈 I also follow James and Karla and Hudson is a fine fellow and I hope to see them someday and give Hudson a nice pat on his head ,plus a treat 🥀 ActionKid seems to have hit the big time, cuz he is living part time in Miami and NY. He's been traveling a lot too. Hannah Lee is a very nice TH-camr to follow. She moved to Brooklyn about 5 years ago, right out of college. She grew up in a little town of only 800 people ..Grundy Virginia. !😁 She studied music in college and came to NY to start her career. She is engaged but she only posts a video on Saturday! I also follow Peter Santenello ... He travels the US visiting special communities, such as The Amish, Satmor Jewish in Brooklyn etc . I also follow Penginsix, based in DC. He is an authorized journalist to attend White House functions and shows things main stream media doesn't . And, I will watch various other channels that cover history, religion , art, travel etc! I still think you should give it a try and do a short introduction on a walk..just say " Hey everyone, I'm going to take us on this nice visit to....". And that's all you would need to say ! 🌸🍎.
Hi DN! I will definitely look up all these accounts! I will try to remember to say Hi before the next walk, but I have a truly terrible voice 🤣🤣. I did buy a microphone after you recommended talking a while ago, but it's still sitting there! I hope your staying cool these super hot days. Hopefully we'll be able to get some rain free, comfortable days soon! Thanks again for your kind words of encouragement!
A little hint. Arthur Miller wrote the plays he was most famous for while living on Willow Street not at 62 Montague. He did meet Marilyn Monroe at 62 though. That plaque is just misinformation. I grew up at 62.
𝙃𝙞𝙮𝙖 𝘽𝙚𝙩𝙝!! I grew up in God's Country (that's Brooklyn for those who don't know it) and lived there for 35 years. When I moved to the Midwest people often told me they were fascinated by NYC and planned to travel there. They would request an itinerary which I would draw up immediately except that we used the term "Baedeker" for such a listing. I always told them ~ start at Montague Street. It was my favorite street back in the day because of its many book stores ~ I could buy an arm load of books for only $ 1 back in the day. And no, this is NOT an exaggeration! There were many other low cost book stores in the area, on Clinton or Henry Streets IIRC. The view from the Promenade is so great -- it has served as background scene in many movies and TV shows. The Brooklyn Historical Society is nearby. Not too far away is Fort Greene Park where so many of our martyrs who were sacrificed during the War of Independence are buried in a mass grave. Thanx for sharing the video & for bringing back some pleasant memories for me.
Lived there 97-99. Loved it!
Thanks for watching!!
