- Welcome back to our Command & Conquer Tier List series. We're gonna rank all of Yuri infantries, vehicles, naval ships, and aircrafts based on how viable they are in the online meta of RA2: Yuri's Revenge. I'll also provide reasoning and a competitive analysis of why I ranked a certain unit in their corresponding spot.
Note that this tier list is NOT based on a unit's overall strength. Units here are ranked by their viability in the meta. You may see a very strong unit being ranked low on this list - That is because they do not see many uses in online competitive gameplay.

Initiate double it's firepower while garrison. An obvious OP ability for urban combat where garrisonable structure everywhere.
I disagree on Boomers. They make excellent harassers when used in small groups to do hit-n-run attacks. Have group A shell a base and while the enemy focuses on them, group A flees and group B begins attacking from another direction/body of water, and so on. The amount of chaos they can inflict is impressive.
I'd put them in B tier, same as Kirov. If you anticipate Boomers as Allied or Soviet you can swiftly deprive Yuri of any navy, but a surprise Boomer can level a base, especially without the early warning that Kirovs have.

Not a bad list, but I don't see how Chaos Drone is ranked higher than the boomer. I literally have never seen someone construct a chaos drone in a multiplayer match. Boomers are expensive and make it hard for Yuri to compete with subs, squids, or dolphins, but they still have their uses and are quite common to see on any naval map. The fact that they can act as a naval artillery while also being able to defend like a sub is quite powerful, and allows them to have way more artillery firepower than any other faction can afford to invest in. That firepower combined with the stealth of subs can make them really powerful and difficult to deal with if you don't have naval supremacy over Yuri. They are so powerful that the community yuri patch as well as many custom maps have decided to nerf them.
Good points. Do look up some 1v1 videos of chaos drone in action tho. Total eye opener when people make them work.
@@xyhc-cnc i see your points but i too have to say D tier is way too low for Boomer subs. because they are truly terrifying on naval maps due to their ability to sneak up on you and hail down on you with missiles before you even knew they were there.

Boomers can serve as a psychological weapon, having your lab blowing up while you're busy commanding tanks at the front is not fun
or to super fast destroy a superweapon
Bet allies see how impressive Yuri is and they take the revenge by becoming a way more OP faction in RA3, both in lore and in skirmish.
I believe few would argue Yuri is the most OP race in entire RA2. I wonder if Yuri Arsenal can rival the power of cryocopter. :) If Gatling Gun is in RA3 that could be the only unit that can at least think about killing cryocopter. Also mind control in RA3 would be devastating given how low eco it is.
Allies would shrink the mastermind and idk how that would work. Perhaps it would be more scary because its fast or not? Tbh allies would decimate yuri because of lack of anti-air options for yuri, send in a cryocopter for the guns and they're as good as defenseless

yuri is not the most op. Iraq is. There is stats that competitively when Irap vs Yuri, Irap win more than 60% of games
Personally I think the Boomer should be considered, if not higher in meta, a seriously unbalanced unit in Yuris arsenal. If only because of how fast Yuri can get them up and running, usually before the Allies and Soviets can build sufficient amounts of counters to them. Of course this changes based on the map, naturally a heavy water map means the Boomer rises in threat.
Are you kidding? On heavy water maps these things are terrifying
A good Allied or Soviet player will leave Yuri with no navy, boomers don't trade cost effectively with Dolphins or Subs. However if you don't build adequate naval a surprise boomer can end a game. It comes out sooner than Dreadnoughts and doesn't announce itself.

Yuri is master of Red Alert 2! Shame there were no campaign as him. But we still got Yuri's amazing faction in multiplayer!
A mod called mental omega make campaign for Yuri's army. And all mission look great
one interesting thing about magnetrons that wasn't listed here is using the attack move command can make them juggle a handful of tanks effectively canceling any orders given to them when lifted briefly. This seems to work because attack move in this game is really weird in that it prioritizes movement over attack and magnetrons only target ground units so when the unit they lift is high enough to be considered an air unit it loses target despite normally being able to drag it around and locks on to something else.

I remember that the first time I played yuri's revenge, it was a modified version that buff yuri a lot,
lasher tanks were now lazer tanks and fired the lazers from the floating disc Providing extra range,
his mcv had a grand cannon and could go into bunkers.
And finally yuri Prime could control 3 units at once.
He also had a zeus tank that generated lightning from the WEATHER storm.
And gattling hovercraft that was a gattling tank with explosive bullets
Lol this reminds me of the Lazer Demo Nuke mod for Generals Zero Hour that buffed the shit out of those three. It was to the point of ridiculousness but very cool

As someone who doesn't play online, I can confirm that Yuri is op, I usually play unholy alliance games and of all the bases to assault, Yuri's are the worst. They have rediculous base defenses, absolutely no concept of balance and playing as them against ai is comparable to a cake walk
Yuri is still passive against Iraq, desolator + terror drones + flak tracks are yuri's nightmare
I just realized Libra from Mental Omega is Yuri's version of Yuriko or inspired by her from RA3
Mastermind is not an offensive unit most of time, if that bunch of flack tracks come to me i move them faster to grinder and i get $ also if soviet come with IC drones i grind them, the big problem for Yuri is Iraq in small maps.
Yes you get 100% of chas from units but not from infantry.

My opinion, boomer should be A tier or at worst B tier. Chaos drone should be D tier (I would put it on F tier for most scenarios but I don’t think it at the same level as terrorist). Yuri is too op

Boomers deserve B tier. Yes its true that Subs and Dolphins counter Boomers, but a surprise Boomer rush can wreck an unsuspecting player. Take the Kirov, which you put in B tier. Its easy to stop if you anticipate it but a surprise Kirov will blow shit up before opponent builds adequate AA. Boomers also do not announce themselves upon creation, unlike Kirovs.

I think soviet husky must have more effective mind control than Yuri and more dangerous weapon than their teeth -- cute, puppy eyes. Seeing them, only the really harsh units can attack them and the others -- doubt in correctness their actions and in waters back on base.
Who knows maybe Yuri likes doggies so much that not wanna torture them to learn mind controlling them? they can't harm his base anyways

Yuri makes EVERYONE look pathetic.
Not really... A bunch of Mirages and Prism Tanks can wipe out pretty much anything Yuri has on the ground. It's much harder with the Soviets, all that brutality will just get mindcontrolled

@@itaymaoz7498 I've had success in the Allied vs Yuri matchup using Robot Tanks and IFVs but its an uphill battle. It only gets worse when super weapons are enabled because Yuri has the best super weapons.
