A power of attorney can be general, granting the agent wide-ranging powers, or it can be limited to specific acts or decisions. It can also be durable, meaning it remains in effect even if the principal becomes incapacitated, or it can be revoked at any time by the principal.
A Power of Attorney for a non-resident Indian (NRI) is a legal document that grants authority to another person to act on behalf of the NRI in India. The NRI can use this document to delegate their powers to a trusted friend or family member, or to a professional attorney. The authority granted through a Power of Attorney can include buying or selling property, managing bank accounts, and conducting other legal or financial transactions in India. The NRI must execute the Power of Attorney in accordance with the laws of their home country and the laws of India, and the document must be stamped and registered in India to be legally valid.

1.Indian embassy ki jagah wo USA notary se Power of attorney ka kaam karwa sakta hai kya?
2. USA mai sirf NRI hi sign karega na? aur half signed page( means only NRI's sign) India bhejega aur registrar k samne second person sign karega na?

Thanks for your response sir. But section 33 registration act 1908 says Section 33 (1) For the purposes of section 32, the following powers-of-attorney shall alone be recognised, namely:-
(a) if the principal at the time of executing the power-of-attorney resides in any part of India in which this Act is for the time being in force, a power-of-attorney executed before and authenticated by the Registrar or Sub-Registrar within whose district or sub-district the principal resides;
(b) if the principal at the time aforesaid resides in any part of India in which this Act is not in force, a power-of-attorney executed before and authenticated by any Magistrate;
(c) if the principal at the time aforesaid does not reside in India, a power-of-attorney executed before and authenticated by Notary Public, or any court, Judge, Magistrate, Indian Consul or vice-consul, or representative of the Central Government:

Main India se hu or Abhi malta me rehta hu Mera pass valid trc permit h malta ka. Maine home loan ke liye apply kia h or ab mujhe bank ki taraf se GPA bheja gya h Indian high commission se stamp krwane ke liye. Mera question ye h aapse mujhe jo GPA bheja gya h wo normal page pe h I mean stamp paper pe nai h . Toh kya main simple page pe hi Indian embassy se stamp krwau ya mujhe India se stamp paper pe GPA mngwana pdega or fr malta ki Indian embassy se attested krwana pdega ? Please guide me

Sir Maine Australia se power of attorney apne mom ko India send ki thi. Lekin abhi Maine Australia main apna ghar change kiya hai. Aur power of attorney par Australia ka old address hai. Just want to confirm ki joh power of attorney Maine 3 year pehle apne mom ko send ki hai, kya woh abhi bhi valid hogi ya mujhe new power of attorney send krni hogi.
