You can get to scuttle at 3:12 to 3:15 with 2 smites (scuttle spawns at 3:30) so you have time for a gank beforehand. Saving smite for scuttle doesn't matter half the time because you almost kill any jungler in the 1v1 except maybe Rammus or if Nocturne spell shields your Q.
@@brotendo Right around 3:30 is where all laners get to at least 3 levels and where all-ins are common. So saving smite so you can immediately react to a all-in or an easy gank is more productive imo.
@@Koutheboss No because taking a high percentage gank is always more important than getting scuttle. Laners are level 3 before 3:30. I'd rather get back to my camps on time as they spawn around 4:20.

My wife and my new main! After playing for a while with her, while im no professional I can for sure say that while she is amazing, you are always subject to the auto taunt mechanic. - Stay away from turrets, specially early. Even if you have E it has a delay where it keeps you in place, easily earning you one more turret shot (ONLY one assuming you tapped it) - If you dont have E, dont dive unless its a sure kill away from turrets and other enemy champs. - If you ult, make sure that if you Miss your target, there isnt anyone behind the pathing that you might not want to hit. IE: if you miss your ult and it keeps going to the enemy fountain, have fun going there if someone just respawned. - There are champs that will just simply screw you over inmensively, making your kit almost a joke, this is mainly compromised of enemies with clones, or with dissappearing abilities: Wukong and Shaco with their clones will direct you towards the dummy and you can do nothing except cancel with E, at which point you can only disengage until CD reset IF you didnt get killed which is the most likely scenario, clones can eat your ult as well and same deal except worse. As per dissapearing abilities, anyone who just dissapears even for a second will cancel your self taunt when dueling alone, or redirect you if there is someone else around. IE: Master Yi. Alone in the jungle he will just Q and cancel your W or even your Ult, in the best case scenario you have something around to redirect you to it instead of cancelling it, but changing targets already screws you over either way unless you get assisted into not dying. So yeah, really great champion and wifey, but she gest HARD countered WHEN she gets countered.
I am brand new to jungle, my first 3 matches as Briar are a great look into how fun Jungle can be. Any tips for jungle in general? I am new to the game as well, any advice would be helpful.
Exactly this, make sure you're always moving towards farm is the main thing as unlike being in lanes farm doesn't come to you, after that focus on objectives and then gank when there's time to do so!
Hello, I recently started playing jungle as a new player and I would heavily advise NOT to do what was said above. I found an insane amount of challenger players and pro players guides on TH-cam on how to jungle and they ESPECIALLY say not to do that. I played a few games now in jungle and I'm 13-3 W - L right now, granted this is probably not the highest elo since I started the game but I still have around 10 to 20 kda every game with S+ grades and 3 players in my team voting for me. So to answer your question I would for the basics, it seems all about macro: 1/ Taking information on the map: - How is it going in every lane for each matchup - Are your allies low HP/low mana? Is ennemy low hp low mana? - how ahead or behind in items is everyone (look at scoreboard) - How far ahead or behind is ennemy jungler in CS and items - Do ennemies still have Flash/ or a dash to escape and negate your gank? (read at allies pings and constantly pan the camera to lanes while clearing to spot cooldowns etc.) 2/ Decision making: - Are you strong enough to solo kill someone from a gank? If yes and you are 100% sure that the ennemy is gonna stay in lane until you arrive, then proceed to gank and kill. If for example a sbire wave arrives in middle, the ennemy laner is probably gonna stay to get the xp and gold. If you are not 100% sure to get the kill, do not even waste time trying, it's better to farm in that case. - Are you able to punish ennemy jungler position? if you spot the ennemy jungler ganking top while you're doing your camps on the other side of the map, your PRIORITY option should be to steal his camps on the side you are in. It's more important than taking dragon aswell, steal his camps first, then dragon if you have time, if you don't it's fine. Negating cs to the ennemy jungler will put you massivelly ahead gold wise and will also waste his time. However to you need to guess what was his route first. If ennemy jungler just died and barelly 1 minute later you see him ganking top, you can assume he respawn, did a few camps on his way to gank top, meaning his bot camps are not done so you can steal em. Make sure you use your defensive tempo after, to back and go get your top camps that are respawning so he doesn't steal yours aswell. - Are you stronger than the ennemy jungler and able to kill him or pressure him? If yes once you know what route he will follow in the next few seconds, you can attempt to pressure him and possible steal camps while forcing him away or kill him. 3/ Enabling vision/communication and macro: - you should switch to the revealing wards and buying control wards almost everytime you back. Especially once you're ahead enough to be able to gank lanes, if you attempt to gank but you end up being revealed, you will lose time and waste time cause ennemies will back off. Clear the wards, do a few camps around and maybe gank later after the wards have been cleared. - Past the mid game make sure you ward objectives before they become available and/or clear ennemy vision. 4/ How to win: - After you are far ahead and fed, keep ganking while denying the ennemy junglers his cs and you will snowball the lead into a victory. Do not take risks and be greedy tho, it's easy to throw a lead that way. - If you are behind, pay extra attention to ennemy jungler's passing to try and steal his camps whenever it's safe to do so. Do not try to gank losing lanes, even if your team spam pings to gank cause they are losing. You should probably gank lanes that are already winning unless you're gonna waste time trying. Your only goal is to be fed and suffienctly ahead of most of the players in ennemy team so you can solo carry. So fighting against fed ennemies is a waste of time cause you're very unlikelly to win vs them. Better to farm efficiently and to gank players that are further behind than you. Hope this helps
Main Briar here, Riot WANTS you to play bruiser Briar, but she still works fine as assassin (crit, not lethality). I don't like tank, but it also works. If you want, you can make a AP Briar that will one shot ADCs late game.
I think Bruiser Briar is more likely to stand the test of time. Already her lethality Hail of Blades build got nerfed. Sometimes other Briar builds will be better, but I think bruiser is the one that'll be the most stable over time.
As said above E is just to cancel taunt like 99% of the times. You will hardly find moments to use it for dmg. Where as Q is used all the time, and it serves more utility as well since you can change targets mid taunt by jumping on top of them.
If you suck at league, as Briar you will die to turrets, be baited like a mob, and be hitting Shaco and Wukong clones like an idiot to death lmao. For suckers there is always Lux, Veigar and unshamedly Warwick (My previous main, and yeah I do admit he is stupidly easy, and he achieves most of what Briar does except that easier.)
Q also lets you redirect the target of your frenzy
Yes this would have been good to mention!
In practice it doesn't because of the sad range. Expect to be stuck on tanks.
@@ashg9622 That's what the W's dash is for. W and Q might both have stubby range, but throwing them out together is how you can dive.
If you get a leash, using your passive and jg pet to finish the camps, you can actually get to scuttle 3 seconds before only using one smite!
