One of favorite easy meals is a can of chickpeas toasted in a pan coated in cumin, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper and then eat them in lettuce boats! So easy, full of protein and yummy too
Paprika is our national spice. I always cringe how little youtubers use of it, I mean we put it into almost every savory meals and a lot of it. I'm really proud of you. You could be a Hungarian :D
I do love to cook, but I’m suffering from mental illness so I don’t always have the energy to make healthy food and just end up eating cereal for every meal. Thank you for making this, since now I will find it easier to have a healthy diet :)
Tip for the fries: chicken seasoning spices are sooo good with fries (in Belgium it’s a staple, and since we invented fries you should trust me 😉 (and no fries are not French!!)) Chicken spices don’t have chicken in them and 99% of the time they are vegan (some brands put in that pesky milk powder 🙄)
I'm Belgian too! I really love chicken seasoning, and fish seasoning is also awesome (in other dishes, I wouldn't try putting it on my fries though ahaha)
This is real content. You are the first person that actually makes me want to cook. I hate meals that have 20 ingredients.... Most people don't have time to spend 1.5 hrs cooking each meal.
I love your channel, all recepies look so yummy and (most importantly for me) so easy to make. Everyone in the comments are very friendly to share their own vegan recepies and tips. Thank you!
Oh man! So I have a sauce I make every week that I finish pretty darn quickly (I use it as pasta sauce, spread it on my sandwiches, mix it w/ in my chickpeas, dip my potatoes in it, etc etc) I blend a crap ton of kale/spinach w a lot of garlic, a bit of onion, and a lot of lemon. It comes out looking like pesto and it's very yummy!
An extremely easy dinner we make often is baked sweet potatoes (cut in big fingers) with baked chickpeas. Both seasoned with smoked paprika, salt, pepper, ground coriander, ground cinnamon, ground cumin and some olive oil. put all in a bowl toas around to coat with the spices and bake in the oven (around 200C) for 20 to 30 minutes. You can have a tomato sauce dip with it or a yogurt dip.
I’ve been binge watching your vids for the past few days now and I’m not vegan but just watching all the amazing looking recipes make me wanna go veggie again. Of course I subscribed and I want your book so badly and I will get it but it’s just not in my budget right now. Please keep up the amazing work girly!!! ❤️❤️❤️
I throw a chopped red onion, a can of diced tomatoes, heaps of paprika and some leftover rice/beans to make an amazing stew. I also wilt in some spinach just before serving. One of my favourite cheap, simple and delicious meals.
Having awesome simple meals like this is sooo essential for me these days! Love all the ideas. Especially the nachos! Also thanks for helping me to see how I can eat more vegan, this is really helping me do that. Please keep sharing these simple, fast meals.
My easy one is hard or softshell tacos filled with salad leaves, cut cucumber, pack of julienne beets, julienne carrots (or shred yourself) plus walnuts, lots of vegan feta and any dressing you might have in the fridge. (I love this with raspberry dressing.)
All your recipes rock! It's thanks to you that I have been able to stick to a vegan lifestyle. You taught me how to make kombucha and all sorts of amazing meals, and it wouldn't have been possible without you! I also love following what is happening in your real life, because it's interesting to see how this commitment can change your life. :)
Thank you so much for these budget friendly and 3 ingredients vegan videos. It has helped me tremendously when trying to fix meals for my vegan and non-vegan family. They are delicious enough to satisfy both sets of eaters.
Love these 5 ingredients meals. As a new vegan and working mom I get so frustrated when I see a recipe in want to try but it has a million steps and ingredients, therefore I feel like I eat the same go to meals all the time!
I don't exclusively eat vegan/vegetarian but I loved this video and really want to try the chickpea/cucumber/tomato dish and baked fries!! I am totally into quick and minimal ingredient meals because I am so lazy to cook haha. I really admire you guys who enjoy creating in the kitchen because I don't. So this video was perfect!
lmao 3 of these recipes are already in my staples. i make them all the time. i can't be bothered to make stuff that's more complicated than this after work so these are perfect!
I LOVE to cook, but these recipes are great for the days I get home from school super tired, with no leftovers in the fridge, and want some easy to throw together :)
I had never though about fries and salad, that's what I had for lunch today, and it was SO GOOD. I bet paprika is really good too, but I actually went with taco seasoning and it really goes well with a simple salad, since the fries were so seasoned I didn't really need dressing beyond salt/pepper/lemon juice.
I really enjoyed this video. I am new to eating this way and it is nice to see some meals that are easy to make. My kids are going to love these as well!
I really enjoy 2 mashed avocados with juice of 1 lemon and 1 tablespoon of savoury yeast flakes as a snack but could be used the same as the avocado in this salad too.
I've been vegan for over a year now and i love it but as winter is coming i see myself overeating and i really dont know how to stop my mind to think i need to "stuff myself up for colder days" i just need some help on HOW TO STOP OVER EAT :( thanks
barbs make sure you’re hydrated and try downing a big glass of room temp water when you know you’re full but you start reaching for snacks! also eat hot meals with protein & carbs to help you stay full! also if you really want something just go for it instead of ignoring the craving sometimes because otherwise that can lead to overeating other stuff to get rid of that craving
I definitely agree on the staying hydrated. Cooler weather is usually drier and could make you more thirsty. When you don't listen to thirst signals the body will make you feel hungrier because most food also contains water. But make sure your meals are well balances with protein, healthy carbs and some WFPB fats. I know a lot of us avoid oils but avocado and nuts/seeds contain healthy fats that can help keep you satiated longer. Last tip is from a friend in college she said her mom always said if you feel like you want a snack, reach for an apple...if you find you don't want that then maybe you weren't that hungry after all. lol
Madeleine Mironuk Nutrition student here! Actually your body has it right! Fall is a time for building so you're meant to eat heavier, starchy meals to prepare your body for winter :) Of course not overeating but eating more than you did during Summer is definitely important!
also can you do a video like "5 ingredients 5 ways" with recipes that combine 5 different ingredients differently so we can meal plan with a budget grocery list? that would be AMAZING
I like to take baby bella mushrooms and chop them up into small pieces, along with some onion, bell pepper and a bit of garlic and saute them then pour in tomato sauce and use that as a "meat" sauce on top of pasta.. i also eat it plain too!!!!
Would love a series of these videos like this! It’s great to have recipes that are vegan quick and easy healthy and delicious thank you so much for making these videos! Love you! 😘😘
My lazy go to food is some chunks of baked potatoes and an avocado dressing which includes cilantro, garlic, salt and a little bit of water. With some rice. Honestly so bomb I can’t even 💛
Everything you made sounded so yummy, thanks for sharing your recipes with us, I'm going to try and get some stuff at Thrive Market, hopefully by next week. Have a great week Caitlin.
I‘m not vegan but I really enjoy eating vegan and I want to include tofu in my recipes but I feel like it’s not that easy if you don’t know how to make tofu the right way. So can you please make video about delicious and easy tofu recipes🙏🏽
My new favorite salad is a greek salad that I altered a bit from the recipe I was given: cucumber tomato red onion kalamata olives red bell pepper red wine vinegar black beans pepperoncini I've put various spices on it like basil, or herbs de provence is nice. Chop it up and coat it in the red wine vinegar. Let sit for a few hours or overnight to really bring out the flavors.
My lunch is usually a salad with a type of leafy green, sweet bell peppers, shredded carrots, cucumber, half of an avocado, lemon juice, hummus and nutritional yeast lol
i've never seen a potato that clean before. Where do you get your produce? all my organic potatoes look like they caught eye jammies and wheel kicks on the way to Whole Foods
Love these ideas im actually trying to go vegan so these littke recipes are simply and gives me a idea on what to eat and where to start thanks for sharing
A video of how ingredients could make x number of different meals would be awesome! Almost like a meal prep or a series on different meals from different foods. Like a bag of potatoes and five meals or a pound of rice. I hope this makes sense lol
@@CaitlinShoemaker thanks! Literally use your recipes to make about 80% of my food. No joke. You can find a From My Bowl creation in my kitchen 7 days a week! 😍🙂
Okay I’m Italian and I stan the fact that you let the water boiled (p.s. Arrabbiata sauce doesn’t really exists in Italy, put the pronounce was pretty good lmao)
YUM!! The first pasta dish and the Fries and Salad are what I'm gonna make, soon! Btw, for Soy-Free, gonna sub sliced, fried solid polenta slices or will use jackfruit.
I don’t mind cooking, I hate lengthy ingredient lists.
YESSS I feel this.
when i have time i find it so satisfying
One of favorite easy meals is a can of chickpeas toasted in a pan coated in cumin, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper and then eat them in lettuce boats! So easy, full of protein and yummy too
My go to. I no longer eat popcorn lol
Paprika is our national spice. I always cringe how little youtubers use of it, I mean we put it into almost every savory meals and a lot of it.
I'm really proud of you. You could be a Hungarian :D
Yessss! What are some common Hungarian recipes that you love?
I'm Northern Irish and I use paprika in almost everything too 😂 I love it, it just makes everything so tasty
Obliviate yeeeeee 🤗 +1 vegan Hungarian in da house!! 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
I love paprika. I use it a lot. It gives a nice color to the dish. I didn't know it's Hungarian national spice.
Once I put paprika (just to try) in one of my meals a few years ago, now i'm obsessed with it and put it basically in every meal😂
legit stopped halfway through to make the cucumber tomato chickpea salad!! Added avocado and dill and it made a delicious lunch!
Dill is so underrated! That sounds amazing "chefs kiss"👌
I probably make sweet potato fries and regular ones about 3-4 times a week. No shame.
my kinda person
@@breakfastoftoday8224 how do you get tired of them? :))
Same😂🤷🏽♀️
Georgiana Haiduc we just get tired of something after eating it for a long time

The chickpea salad would be lovely with some giant couscous or just normal couscous and maybe quinoa!
totally!
And some avocado
